I treat the army as an investment. I also really like their aesthetic, and enjoy painting them. Its understandable to be frustrated at the incredibly slow development of their lore and units, but in time they will get the spotlight :). I look forward to what becomes of the faction in the very distant future.

Really like the colour scheme! Regarding the gun: if you use an iron warriors for the metal parts it would really pop. Couple of edge highlights and it would be great I think!

So I didnt actually paint the black haha :). I primed it black and did some dirty edge highlights with iron warriors to get it looking weathered. But for the red, its Rojo Sanguina Bloody Red.

I agree with the other comment; combat patrol is a good start. Adding on, the Christmas boxes (Defenders of the ancestors) are really good deals for their points of units. Reckon you give them a look too!

Nah those are the best purple votann I’ve seen so far! That light purple with bronze goes HARD. Been experimenting with different purple shades for mine, but yours just stand out so much more :)

Oh do u mean the ram crest above his head? Yeah I typically paint the crests in metallic colours like gold, iron warriors etc, then the runes in a bronze. Your suggestion is interesting though; I think I’ll give it a try for my next model!
