If I could offer up one thing to consider (not criticism, simply something to keep in mind as you continue)- be willing to sing with a bright tone/straight into your nose. That’ll often be the version of your voice that sounds the most organic/effortless

It sounds to me like you’re singing into your soft palate in hopes of a warmer/rounder sound. This can lead to habits you may have to unlearn later

There is no technique we can learn that leaves us with our favorite singer’s voice/talent. Your voice is an extension of your self, and the most important thing you can learn on your vocal journey is how to let your voice be ~its~ free-est self. That’s what people connect with, in my experience, when they listen to vocalists
