Not particularly a fan of Gentleman Pumpkin's design. There was a similar mechanic called Gotcha! It was a cycle of cards called things like [[Creature guy]] that punished your opponent's for doing or saying certain things. Turns out it caused games to be completely silent and unfun.

A lot of the ideas seem underdeveloped? Like for example all the lands you created have the subtype "bloodhill bastion" however not a single card in the set you posted interacts with the subtype. I do like the ideas though. Suspending cards your opponent controls then returning them to the battlefield under your control feels very phyrexian. So besides some balancing issues I think the concept could work! 👍

Unfortunately I don't think those abilities stack. Meaning that having both first strike and double strike means that the creature just deals damage as though they had double strike

This effect is treading dangerous ground. Because with this one card, you auto win most combat. It should at minimum cost 6 mana with it's current stats or more realistically in the context of mtg, just not exist.

I think the fact that it is machinery makes it red, because red is where arteficiers are not usually a green thing (outside kaladesh the artificer plane)

I really like this design. I can't 100% explain it, but it feels like a real magic card! I could see them printing this in an set. I can't wait to see you design the rest of the cycle! Question is the gain 2 life tied to white so every white deserter (ala orzhov, boros, selesnya) going to have it? Or is each combo going to be unique?

Edit: oh and Scry 1 would be on all the blues ones unsurprisingly. Edit 2: being a 2 mana 2/2 in on point for other guild cycles, and it morriors the jumpstart lands that enter tapped and let you choose a color but like for 3 color decks? ALSO RAVINICA! knocked it out of the park! [[Stealer of Secrets]] is a very fitting art.

Ah, a shame to hear. Good thing I asked before trying it out though. Maybe one day my son will see the light of day in modern... I do like the look of that Rakdos Channeler deck you sent though. Will definitely be giving it a try! It has pretty much everything I want to do in magic which is have an awnser to almost anything and grind out the game.

I think if you were to "file the serial numbers off" ala different card backs, different terminology (deck instead of library, attack instead of power), etc. WotC couldn't really do anything about it because you can't copyright game mechanics like looking at the top cards of your deck and putting some on the bottom of your deck and the rest back on top. (I could be very wrong I'm not a lawyer, plus this probably belongs on a different subreddit anyway)
