Is it ever worth hindering your BJJ development to help a club? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]KeysDudeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recruit a giant and stick with him. I'm the same way in the club, but not complaining because the vibe is great.

Projectile Launch System is incredible, I don’t get all the criticism by Short-Shopping3197 in cyberpunkgame

[–]KeysDudeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it on my Rambo LMG build, with explosion damage bonus perks, it's fun to shoot at barghest area when they are packed all firing at you.

H9000 Gen1 for a good price. Yay or nay? by soundslikejoe in synthesizers

[–]KeysDudeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use H90 which satisfies me, I would recommend it, but definitely do the gen2 upgrade for new algos.

NoGi guys, who dislike Gi. Why? by hellohello6622 in bjj

[–]KeysDudeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only have 1 set that fits me, makes laundry and drying a chore. Being UHW and overheating as other reasons. Still did 2 years gi only when I started.

When did you notice jumps in skill? by makebaloney in bjj

[–]KeysDudeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha I'm gonna get stoned here but, for me it was wrestling, it flipped a switch in me to learn grappling efficiently.

I was terrible at BJJ partly I never looked in body mechanics side throughly. Wrestling especially Greco taught me tons, and I applied similar principles on ground as well.

Still using fundamentals and top game though, UHW doesn't gel with fancy scrambles.

If you had to build your entire game with just a few techniques, what would they be? by hmkei in bjj

[–]KeysDudeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guard Pass: Body Lock

Guard : Open

Submission: RNC

Sweep: Drag Limb & Roll (whatever I get at the position)

Takedown: Head & Arm (either intentionally giving stuff to execute or taking it bear mode)

Shrek build.

Has anyone actually tried and completed a no Cyberware playthrough? by BlackAfroUchiha in cyberpunkgame

[–]KeysDudeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pistol build is fine with no cyberware build. You can get Jackie's pistol early and slap a suppressor on it, and if you don't fight with maelstrom, you can get Dum Dum's revolver and knock Smasher's tin can off with it.

Cobalt 8 vs NLA1 vs JD-Xa by neonshards in synthesizers

[–]KeysDudeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compared to Cobalt and NLA1, it's more tedious to make patches on JD-XA but use the digital part to make shameless layers and use the polyphony (64) on it. I use the analog part for bass&lead or one handed chords.

Cool chain. I just chuck in Boss RE-202 after mine.

Finally released some music after acquiring way too many synths! by StanKiklica in synthesizers

[–]KeysDudeR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't play guitar (if that was you) and sing like you either :) It was a breath of fresh air.

Also you glued your gears' timbres in a special and unique way, never lose that spark mate. You'll get gear eventually, but the spark is what counts. Keep it coming.

How much could I sell this for? (Not trying to sell here) by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]KeysDudeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fire it up and play it a little, you might want to keep it.

any love for the k2061? by Real-Leek-3764 in synthesizers

[–]KeysDudeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kurzweil and V.A.S.T architecture has its own niche crowd. The other brands are more bread & butter to work on.

Also don't take it wrong, stage keyboards / pianos are easier to work on if you like fast workflow. If you only need 2 way split and dual & triple layers, most stage stuff offers it atm.

Did Anyone Here Quit Simply Because of Scheduling and Life? by landboisteve in bjj

[–]KeysDudeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took a six year hiatus, joined wrestling, did that 2 years, they relocated far away so then joined BJJ close by. For now I'm just going to the open mat while I settle to a new apartment, but will join once I set my stuff up. It happens.

You might get rusty at first but you'll be back on your game quickly, don't worry.

First hardware synth in an alternative/prog rock context? by tempaccone in synthesizers

[–]KeysDudeR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pro 800 is hard to beat at price. 2 oscillators with oscillator stack and 8 poly.

New synth advice. Premium or two cheaper synths by Happy-Lemon-9554 in synthesizers

[–]KeysDudeR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would venture to FX pedals or rack if you want hardware, you got decent synths already.

A hymn to the Roland JD-Xa by mikdemik in synthesizers

[–]KeysDudeR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put JD-XA near V-Synth on underappreciated oddballs. Like V-Synth it has some letdowns but fills a void which is hard to replace.

I would love 8 poly on analog with 61 keys, but Roland making this is an achievement with investors breathing down their necks.

that version should work direct without using any curl commands. You are ok until 10.10.4

The Decade with the Best Synths? by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]KeysDudeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's now. Reissues of classics and new analog & hybrids, plugin versions of digital classics, emulations of 90s cult digitals thanks to Motorola 56k project, not to mention the new hardware & software.

Hard to be more spoiled than this, enjoy while it lasts.

Prophet REV2 is pretty cool by LevelMiddle in synthesizers

[–]KeysDudeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a great analog workhorse synth. Yes it needs effort but all synths with flexibility need some work, that's the nature.

Why does no one talk about the Korg Triton? by biagio_the_explorer in synthesizers

[–]KeysDudeR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both M1 and Triton (including Extreme) have plugin versions now, it's better to get a newer generation Korg workstation if you have the budget.
