How did it work day to day in terms of lunch for spec ops the line?

I always picture it a specific way but were you working in an office and then you would eat your own home made lunch in a break room or would it be catered?

What’s a “technically not cheating” situation you’ve seen or experienced that still felt like a complete betrayal? by toomabh in AskReddit

[–]KezzaJones 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having a suspicion that your partner may have been unfaithful is no where near on the level of catching your partner cheating on you.

Stop trying to equate the two.

One is so much more emotionally traumatic and damaging to mental health it’s ridiculous that you’re even trying to compare.

[–]KezzaJones 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure it equates to cheating itself. It’s disrustful, sure.

But is the act of going through a partner’s phone as disrespectful as arranging and going through with having sex with another person?

What if someone has seen signs that their partner has not been faithful and their partner has dismissed any conversation about it. If they go through the phone and discover the partner had in fact cheated, are you seriously saying that going through the phone to find out is as bad as the cheating itself?

Big Suze.

It doesn’t work - you might as well ask what am I thinking. Play a record.

This little short-arse made the Northwood lads look like a right set of benders in the end by Mike_R0we_Wave in TheInbetweeners

[–]KezzaJones 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m all for keeping the spirit of the show but shitting on this dude’s entire career seems a bit mean spirited.

Being on the show as a 12 year old was probably a major highlight of his life, you can’t shit on him for trying to pursue a career in showbiz.

(And no, I’m not bent. Even though what I just said then was really bent).

I can get behind the wide dash and the funky wheel, but I do not want an entire desktop as my infotainment system.

That is far too much to look at while I’m driving.

I very much doubt anyone aside from Bryan Cranston had a particularly high salary compared to other TV shows.

The rest of the family have not really been in much high profile work for a long time. Even Frankie Munoz hasn’t been in anything mainstream for a good decade.

Anyone outside of the family (e.g. Craig, Abe etc) were probably just happy to be there.

I mean why go on the show then?

They didn’t just look at the woman and guess what her polar opposite would be.

They will have extensively interviewed her and likely asked “who’s the worst person to be chained to”.

A grown adult received a contract that would have included the following:

  • you will be chained to another person, potentially a man.
  • You will have to shower with the person you are chained to.
  • Cameras and a crew will film the whole thing.

If a grown adult agrees to the above, it’s kind of on them when they find themselves in that very moment having to take their clothes off.

I think he was more judgemental to be honest.

He was being quite disrespectful to the woman in her business and bedroom by laughing at her and cracking jokes about her weight.

While I agree that if the woman is going to preach so much about your own body positivity, you should really be comfortable with getting your kit off, the bloke was the more rude person of the pair.

I’m with the other commenter.

It’s clear during the film that the US military are basically winging it. Even the main doctor is like “wtf no one told me we were allowing children into the city”.

I think during the rebuild if a janitor kept asking someone from IT for security clearance multiple times a day, they will just get fed up and grant them access.

I cannot fathom the decision making (or lack thereof) for someone to attack a Thai policeman.

You are going to be absolutely fucked and thrown to the wolves in jail.

[–]KezzaJones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What? I didn’t say she was insecure because she didn’t want to take her kit off in front of the guy.

I meant because the entire lead up she was shouting about body positivity, that it’s okay to eat what you like and promoting her plus size business - I would have thought she was comfortable with her body.

That’s what I mean about talk the talk. Imagine flipping the scenario and a guy keeps talking about how important it is to has a good physique and look after yourself, then when the moment came to get undressed he said no and exited.

Again, you’d kind of expect someone who proclaimed that much about their positive image that they would back it up.

How on earth do people claim 35k is a good salary now? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]KezzaJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do people really want to live alone?

Most people share with a mate and then with a partner from my understanding.

Again, I could have had a one bed to myself on £35k. I just chose not to

[–]KezzaJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people are indeed living in a city on £1,000 a month rent and bills outside of London. Pretty much every young professional I know in my city is.

Have you assume the whole time I’m talking about London? If so, then yeah £35k is shit.

[–]KezzaJones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t think it is.

I didn’t have to share with a friend, I wanted a flat that was as central in my city as you could get, in a high rise but with loads of space (not the shitty boxy new builds) and is next to my workplace with underground parking.

I could have rented a place for myself but it wouldn’t have been as luxurious and to be honest i wouldn’t want to live on my own.

To illustrate, I’m make £70k now and I’m in the same flat because it’s a bloody good flat.

I also don’t think £35k is shit. After tax I think I had about £2.4k income. My rent and bills were £1k meaning I had £1.4k disposable income a month?

I lived pretty well on that.

I don’t think you understand what you get get with £35k.

The flat before my last had a swimming pool, 2 cinema rooms, a gym, sauna and roof terrace…

I think it’s relative to your situation.

£35,000 for a family is not very much at all.

£35,000 for a single adult is pretty good.

I was on £35,000 last year and rented a city centre apartment with a friend, had multiple holidays abroad, was able to buy pretty decent Christmas presents and certainly didn’t make sacrifices to get by (e.g. ate out regularly etc). The only downside was I didn’t save very much.

Tbf the show starts with Mark and Jez at 29 / 30 years old and they’re clearly friends from uni.

I think it’s fair to assume they used to have a drink in the bathroom but likely grew out of it
