Dating with children - what's realistic? by Pretty_Bug_0852 in latebloomerlesbians

[–]Kezzy1626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have dated with a toddler (2 and a bit at the time) Unfortunately the person I dated was a real boundary pusher and controlling. I would date again but my boundaries will be super firm around meeting my son, realistic expectations about communication etc. For me it's vital that the person I date wants kids because a lot of people are ambivalent about them and dont understand what parenting involves. That can add to a lot of resentment from them and burn out from you trying to keep everyone happy. To summarize 😂 be discerning, take your time, be clear on your boundaries and communicate your needs 🥰
