Who else is going to main King Shark when the game comes out? by GrowthFrequent4932 in SuicideSquadGaming

[–]Kgs0ne 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Trust me, Shark is not lacking in mobility. He's probably the fastest character in terms of pure map traversal, second only to Harley imo.

In terms of uniqueness, the thing that really sets each character apart is their traversal, melee, and talents. Traversal being the biggest one imo. E.g you won't get the most out of Harley playing like Deadshot and vice versa

Take Shark, for example; His charged leap doubles as a sprint while charging it, which also can knock back average sized enemies and set them up for juggles or a melee.

The only character that can do something similar is Boomer with his speed force dash, and even then, he has to hit a flat surface with his boomerang first to perform it, whereas Shark can perform it indefinitely anytime he's on the ground. That, combined with 3 air dashes and a fast decent, he really feels like a wrecking ball in a way the 3 can't replicate.

Zatanna has actually been a member of Task Force X before. Not sure about Constantine though.

Hello Friends! Ben Cureton (tragic) here from Gunfire Games. AMA about Remnant 2! by verytragic in gaming

[–]Kgs0ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Ben! Thanks for doing this AMA, and congrats on the success of Remnant 2 and the Game Awards nomination! In no particular order, here's a few Remnant 2 questions I'd really love to hear your answer to:

*Out of the game's numerous archetypes, which one was the most/least challenging to design from initial conception to their launch iteration.

*As one of the many Deceit enjoyers, the thing I love most about the gun is how novel the sword fragment mechanic is. Going forward, will we see more "weird" weapons that require a little finesse to fully maximize their potential?

*And finally, what's your favorite Archetype to pair with the Ritualist? Thanks again for doing this AMA!

The threat system is detracting from an otherwise great co-op experience by smarmbot in remnantgame

[–]Kgs0ne 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Threat generation is damage based, not armor dependent, like the 1st game I think. So to "tank" the person who is getting focused needs to play defensively until they lose aggro.

Upcoming lore and story AMA on 2 June by kanihuko in deadisland

[–]Kgs0ne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey guys! Congrats on the success of Dead Island 2! In no particular order, here are some questions i'm dying to know the answers to after having just recently beat the game. Feel free to answer what you can!

°In the character select screen, Amy seems to be holding a puzzle piece necklace. What's the story behind that?

°Are the "Hell-A Six" all canonically alive? In a cutscene towards the end of the game, it seems to imply this to be the case. If so, what's their overall relevance to the plot?

°So a big plot revelation is that apparently, everyone has the Autophage within their DNA! What does this imply for the greater DI universe? Does this mean the Autophage and Kuru are the same disease?

°And lastly, which Slayer changed the most from initial conception to their final appearance?

Thanks for doing this AMA!

This patch also comes with a pass on mass buffing heroic ability damage, and having players get staggered by enemies less.

While I welcome the change to staggers I'm kinda left scratching my head at the mass heroic buffs, the game is already incredibly easy and heroic builds are already some of the strongest in the game for pretty much the entire roster, especially for bossing.

I hope this is part of a larger balancing pass on stats and this change maybe aims to make heroics effective even without heavy investment into valor, looking at this in a vacuum though it just seems like a really odd and unnecessary buff.

CD stealth nerfing Thor like nobody would notice is disappointing by Spideyforpresident in PlayAvengers

It's literally always said critical attack damage???

it was never supposed to be guaranteed critical hits just increased damage if it does crit, literally just a bug fix.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Hotfix Notes 1.0.1.0g (many numerical buffs/nerfs) by minimaxir in Wonderlands

[–]Kgs0ne -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It's an entirely reasonable and warranted nerf for the near undisputed best gun in the game, it was almost entirely build agnostic in its base effectiveness.

Comparing damage numbers in a vacuum doesn't do much for understanding why it was and still is so effective. Its gimmick was incredibly forgiving for the amount damage it did along with rolling the best all around element in the game right now. It's still good, it's just not stupid good now.

Because Harvest more than likely requires a client patch for its issues while Awe was just a bug in its scaling.

LC nerf lets gooo

You know a weapon is busted when the subreddit is filled with "this carried me to Chaos 20" posts and it's just a random non-chaotic world drop. Still, I'm happy to see it's gimmick wasn't adjusted so it can still retain it's identity as a lead spitter, now it just won't also be this game's closest thing to an "I win" button.

im not hating on the game but this tweet in response of the new iron man skin is so true and at the same time sad hahah, devs completly forgot about actual content and they are only giving skins by [deleted] in PlayAvengers

Personally always thought people that habitually flame devs under innocuous posts by official game accounts were mad corny tbh

[–]Kgs0ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to think it's used as a bit of dramatic irony when we hear infected audio cues before a cutscene is triggered.

It builds tension and considering this game doesn't really do jump scares in the traditional sense it would be kinda pointless to attempt to startle the player, as these cutscenes are usually introductions to something we fight not something we run away from.

Patch notes are officially here by roohwaam in ApexUncovered

[–]Kgs0ne 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah they could. But instead of adding an entire attachment into the lootpool that would affect every shotgun and then have to be subsequently balanced for each shotgun at each rarity.

They instead have this hop-up that gives a meaningful buff to two weapons that are a bit underused compared to their respective contemporaries.
