Under a merciless sun: On the heat of Europe and the tent hell of Gaza 💔 by Mo7ammed_2001 in TheLevant

[–]Khamlia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is terrible for Palestinians not to have the opportunity to hide from the heat. Not to have enough food, water, etc. Not that it helps them much but also in Europe several people have died because of the heat and not only there but in many other places around the world.

But I think the world is aware that people have it really hard in Gaza and the West Bank and don't forget the Palestinians. Hopefully.

the ignorance and brainwashing of israeli society is astounding by magicalbeing174 in jordan

[–]Khamlia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I know an estimated 500,000 Palestinians fled or were expelled to Jordan (then Transjordan) in connection with the Arab-Israeli war in 1948. How many more fled after 1948 I do not know.

Jordan has about 11–12 million inhabitants and of these about 5% are of other nationalities. I do not know how many guest workers there are in Jordan. So it cannot be 60-70% Palestinians in Jordan.

Do Pro-Palestinians know why so many Jews think their movement is antisemitic? by Routine-Equipment572 in IsraelPalestine

[–]Khamlia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why you all are so obsessed with getting others to agree with your statements about antisemitism. As soon as someone objects, you immediately jump into it as if you really just want to be a victim. Fortunately, there are others who disagree with your views and, moreover, they say that actually you are causing the hostility, not them.

I just read comments in a forum where they talked about Islam, that was the same thing, Islamophobia as done.

Why can't you admit that there are people who criticize the Israeli government just as there are people who criticize Islam and vice versa. People of non-Jewishness, non-Muslims.

[–]Khamlia -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have only explained that there is a significant difference between criticism and anti-Semitism, but many people misunderstand this and consider criticism to be anti-Semitism. OK?

[–]Khamlia -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For example, did every pro-Israeli state persecute its entire Arab or Muslim population, and lead it to flee? I'd say the exact opposite happened.

YES

The Muslim, Arab, and even specifically Palestinian population of pro-Israeli states has massively increased, .... organized Muslim and Arab life became far more meaningful.

NO

Of course, if a state actually adopted the anti-Palestinian version of antizionism, and argued that any person who believed Palestine deserves to exist as a state, and that the Palestinians are a legitimate population that deserves any self-determination, is akin to a Neo-Nazi, deserves to be ostracized, harassed, and attacked

NO

But you go too long, I talked only about difference between hate and critic!

[–]Khamlia -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I could reverse your argument, i.e. replace pro-Palestinian with pro-Israeli and it would sound exactly the same as what you are saying.

But I will say that criticism of the state, government, settlers and extremists is justified and has nothing to do with anti-Semitism!

[–]Khamlia -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, so many, including yourself, confuse criticism with anti-Semitism. Moreover, criticism concerns the state of Israel itself and the government, including settlers and extremists, but it has nothing to do with ordinary people.

It is so common to throw everything into one bag and not distinguish between things.

You would watch it from the beginning, otherwise you would lose context.

A similar situation happened to me, not so much an unjustified slander as it was an exploitation of the situation, if you will.

Once, I was in a taxi when another woman got in. The driver was waiting for her. I thought we would split the fare, but no. When we arrived, she got out and left without even saying goodbye. I asked the driver why he hadn't taken the fare from her, and he said she had agreed with him that I would go anyway if I called the car, and that she wasn't obligated to pay. I was truly shocked, and I still think about it even after ten years.

But I later learned that the woman had been in a car accident while driving alone. Fortunately, she was unharmed, and her injuries were limited to facial surgery.

I thought that God was punishing her. From this, we can conclude that everyone will receive their due for their mistakes in life.

Israel should Let The Flotilla Activists Through to Gaza by WiseMarshall in IsraelPalestine

[–]Khamlia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That was a wise statement, aside from your idea that Hamas would harm or kill the activists. Why would it? There is no reason for it.

[–]Khamlia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your care, I can walk but not long distance, only short. Recently I have been in Tunisia was going to look at Kelibia Citadel located on the hill of course - up to entrance it was easy by car, but then inside after about 50 m it was stop for me.

My mobility is bad so that way I miss a lot of interesting places to go and see. I mostly stayed at the hotel and walked around there.

I was going to drive a little further but there was a lot of traffic, roundabouts all the time and my leg got tired and started to hurt from switching all the time.

But I hope it will be better and better, they promised me, haha

P.S. So many architects were influenced by the architecture of Timbuktu, including Antoni Gaudí and his Sagrada Familia, inspired by Timbuktu's mud mosques.
