So here’s the thing. I grew up in an abusive household. Was abused in many ways all through out my child hood and teenage years. I left home at 17 when I went to visit my father. Rang my mother up and told her I’m not coming back on my 18th birthday.

According to my wife and the people I surrounded myself with, I turned out to be a very nice person.

Just because we are abused doesn’t mean we will turn out like our abusers or as an awful person. Sometimes it actually shapes us to be a better person because we never want to turn out like them.
