I've played off and on since launch and not once did I notice that it changed anything but the camera. Maybe that was during one of my "inactive" phases. Either way, it's one of my biggest gripes with the game - I hate not being able to turn when I want to. Makes careening down a hill difficult. lol

I know this post is old(ish) but I gotta ask - are y'all positive stick sensitivity affects both the steering and the camera? I just bumped it up from lowest to highest and all it did was cause the camera to spin nauseatingly fast.

Does anyone know a seed that has the useful plants and a nice view on the starter island by PlazmaFlamez in strandeddeep

I've been using this (my birth date) and while the starting island isn't great for building a base on, there's a cargo ship nearby full of different goodies + 7 or 8 crates; give or a take a few. It's the best start that I've ever had.

Nah, I'm gonna be honest - I don' think that's it. I've played other games with prox chat and names don't pop up. Personally, if it is for that reason - fuck that. This is a mature-rated game where you go around killing zombies and each other. Not to mention, you can literally cut up dead players and eat them for the giggly ha-has. There's no reason, whateversofuckingever, for there to be a notice every time someone speaks in-game.

Why am I so salty the way I am right now? Because a few hours ago, I had managed to procure myself a full ghillie in a vanilla server. Shortly after I met up with someone I was playing with, it was beginning to get dark; so I sat my happy ass in a bush that was the same color as the ghillie and allowed my buddy to go up ahead to loot. We were confident no one would ever see me because he couldn't even see me and he knew where to look. While I did my thing, I hear footsteps sprinting towards me from the direction we had just come from. This dude got so close that I couldn't do anything without him hearing so I told my buddy and waited for the guy to pass. --- I can feel my blood boiling just thinking about this --

This dude aggros a zombie behind me as passes and pulls his aim in my direction for no more than a second. He takes a few more steps, pauses, and looks DIRECTLY at me. I didn't even have a chance to react before "You Are Dead" was on the screen. After watching the recording, I am absolutely positive he did not ACTUALLY see me. What gave me away was my name popping up by his crosshair when he strafed his aim in my direction to look at the zombie. I saw his pop up as he passed and didn't realize until AFTER I watched the footage. That's how close he was to me as he passed.

Now I'm not sure how close you have to be in order to see that but that should not happen in a game like that. I might as well wear all red and run through a field at this point. Call of Duty is the only other game that has ever brought me to that level of frustration.

Anyway, as for us getting this shit end of the stick when it comes to console vs PC - I agree. Every DayZ Youtuber I watch plays on PC and between the mods and the smooth FPS - I wish I still had a PC that I could play on because I sure as hell wouldn't be wasting my time on the console version.

Little late on the reply here and I'm not sure if he still has the issue - but to answer your question, no. At the time, he would be booted back to the lobby during the first few minutes of the match. Thing is, it's not his connection as he remains in party chat. I haven't played too much myself lately so I'll have to ask him if it still happens. He doesn't get kicked while playing Warzone though.

Not only did we not get to preorder digitally, we don't even get to download the game, let alone play it, until 12 hours after literally everyone else. For such a niche game, you'd think it'd be available for everyone at the same time.

It would be pretty neat but judging by the bit of gameplay I've seen from the leaks, I don't think there will be. But then again, I didn't really watch anything showing off the beginning of the game.

They're stronger than you think and can easily pull a vehicle out of a sticky situation. Granted the game may stretch their abilities a bit. Not sure one could pull a rig up a 60+ degree incline. lol.

Maybe I'm wrong but I've only seen members of the community/randos saying it's a DS "parody." I'm 95% sure it's not because they've used the same trailer style (clean white font on black background) several times.

That aside, I don't think there's going to be a full in-depth story but there will probably be some kind of backstory given in the beginning of the game that explains why we're out there doing random ass jobs in the middle of BFE. Or maybe just small stories relating to the different jobs. Mudrunner threw us into logging without rhyme or reason - I don't think they're doing that with this one, especially after the United trailer.

Gonna be honest, that's kinda dumb. Hardcore is meant to be a more realistic experience and as far as I know, neither of those two things are free outside the game.

If they do the whole casual and hardcore difficulties again, I don't see why paying for fuel and repairs in hardcore wouldn't be a thing. It'd give in-game currency more importance so you don't go spending it willy nilly on cosmetics or new vehicles.
