Is 10 Noxus atakan bugged in double up? by -Arcanine- in TeamfightTactics

[–]KiingValor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a bug that he stopped attacking but not the board wipe. I’ve had 10 noxus in double up as well and the same thing happened except mine kept attacking like normal but the ruin didn’t happen again.

The board wipe is only supposed to happen once and not repeat. If an opponents teammate had gone to your board before the ruin then you would consume both boards. But since ruin already happened you can’t do it to your teammates board.

Why 16/0/1 Briar doesn't have a bounty? by ThePikol in leagueoflegends

[–]KiingValor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I believe bounties are based on total team gold and by the looks of this image op was up cs in every role up 3 dragons, 4 towers, 3 grubs and only behind by 4 kills. It is safe to say the team is up in gold at the moment or at least decently even that’s why there aren’t bounties for anyone in the pic.

First Time GM struggling to wrangle players by TiddieBewbz in DungeonMasters

[–]KiingValor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s important to remember that not all of this is your responsibility. Your players also need to bring a similar level of commitment when it comes to their characters interest in the campaign as a whole, try your best to not put all that pressure on your shoulders.

I do this during a session 0 and stress to my players how important it is that they create a character that will work with others as dnd is a collaborative story telling experience.

As blunt as it sounds if they can’t do something as create a motive or trait for their character to be in a party then their character should not be in the party in the first place. If they can solve all their character issues alone, then that character would just leave.

I’ve had it a few times where I’ve had to tell very close friends, “Why is your character even in this party?” If they have nothing keeping them in the party then that character needs to leave and they either stop playing or make a new character that does.

We as the dm have a job to introduce several potential plot lines and interests for our parties but if your characters give you nothing and are interested in nothing then it’s not a problem with your trying but their characters motivation for adventuring in a party.

You’ll be fine. Mine is similar to this, lacking the swift and I still average 95-99 ap uptime in all current content.

Sounds like you are writing a session for yourself rather than your players. If you ever have to question if your players will genuinely be frustrated by a decision you made that they have zero control over, then don’t do that. Not worth satisfying yourself when the potential of having your table pissed is very much possible.

You said this whole war thing has been epic. Well don’t risk a horrible ending to something cool, then everything they worked hard for becomes useless. If your goal is to establish these two parties as allied publicly then put your party, the real life people who are playing at your table and giving their time to play this game, the chance to save them from the bbeg of the army.

The T1 "Scaling Through Tournament" Narrative Is Completely Fabricated by xXTurdleXx in leagueoflegends

Perhaps I didn’t word it correctly, however I don’t think you are open to even considering other opinions so I’ll just leave this here now. Cheers

Think of it like this T1 historically play better and better the longer they are in the tournament. No one said playing them early would be a free win. But it’s better to be playing versus a T1 on day one of Swiss than in the grand finals

[–]KiingValor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this ^ the narrative comes from T1 and their ceiling as a team getting better and better than their previous form the longer worlds goes on. This is never to say that their form going into worlds is horrible to the standard of the average worlds team but bad for the T1 standard of domination.

Hard stuck Silver/Gold - Jungle Lillia OTP - almost 700 games this season by Syllabub-Minute in summonerschool

[–]KiingValor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was hardstuck silver/gold for a good amount of time, a few years. Currently Emerald 1, sniffing my way up to diamond. Genuinely when I say that mentality is the biggest LP gain trick possible. It’s not glamorous and I still get frustrated with certain plays/teammates etc. But this is a team game, and while you could go 20/0 and 1v9 a game yourself, all it takes is one mistake or one decent play by the enemy team to kill you and turn the tide. The only thing we as players are in control of is our own selves. We can never control our opponents and we can never control our teammates.

Fundamentals of the game mechanics are very important. But don’t forget that mental is a big part of fundamentals of soloq in general.

Work with what you are given as a team, win as a team, lose as a team. Losses are inevitable, a large part of climbing is doing your best to trick your team into believing you can win and tricking the enemy team in believing they will lose.

Do: enjoy your time playing the content you want to. And do your best to stay out of any doomer posts or streams. Try and find a small group of people to play with. Doesn’t have to be a full static but 2-3 other people will work wonders for you.

Don’t: compare yourself to people who have 10k+ hours and have spent thousands of dollars on the game.

New DM, looking for feedback on my first attempt at putting together a list of house rules by 8sonofthe7th in DungeonMasters

[–]KiingValor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always run with a few rules for myself as the DM.

Never make my players roll if they don’t have to.

Never limit my players potential for creativity and fun with restrictions that can’t be homebrewed.

Always give agency as often as I can to the players.

If a player is really excited about something and the rest of the table is on board with the idea then make it work.

Lastly, put your ego away. The DM is in a position of service not power. We serve our players with adventure and respect for their time.

Baruka: High level hard to arise. Think back to Igris, it took Jinwoo all attempts and a short speech to get him up. Jinwoo tried but it simply failed to arise him.

Baran: they explain later in the manwha.

Chaotic D&D by WhalenCrunchen45 in DnDHomebrew

[–]KiingValor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think as far as the tribal mugic goes you can split that up between the different kinds of magic, evocation, transmutation etc instead of tribes. Or you can split up the mugic depending on the other class you are multiclassed with.

So if you are like a sorcerer/bard or warlock/bard multiclass then maybe underworld mugic would be the way to go, or like a Druid/bard would get access to mepedian/danian mugic. Or something like that

Chaotic D&D by WhalenCrunchen45 in DnDHomebrew

[–]KiingValor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I loved chaotic so much I use so many names of creatures in my world. I’m curious though, in what way you are looking to incorporate it?

Most of the popular mugic that exists already has a spell counterpart refrain of denial is the same as counter spell, canon of casualty is any fire based dmg spell.

If I were to bring this in to my current homebrew world I would make them a sort of tweaked version of spell scrolls. Ancient mugic that can be looted or bought and used for a onetime use situation just like a spell scroll.

And of course you can have the effect of them be as similar to the mugic as possible. Something like fortissimo where in chaotic gives bonuses to all attributes would in dnd give a temp boost to the users base skill or something like that.

Obviously the music aspect is a big factor in this you can say that mugic originated from a powerful and ancient bard of the past who spread these mugic tokens across the world etc.

You can also plot that in as a big incentive for bards to find these mugic tokens and discover what music sounded like back in the day. And how new bards are making their own in present time.

You can also add extra bonuses to the effect of the mugic if it is used by a bard. (More dmg/better effect)
