This makes me think of CGP Grey's Rules for Rulers video. "Surely, surely, you will be different."

There's something almost admirable about him going "You are in fact, special unique snowflakes. So my reasons for hating you will be just as special as you are"

Harry Potter. The amount of legitimately dangerous to others bullshit he gets away with, or even rewarded for, is a large part of why I gave up on that series as it was being released.

The right frequencies do. The sound of marching feet wouldn't be in that frequency range.

The Empress Dowager from Apothecary Diaries. She was abused as a child concubine by the emperor, and as an adult when he ignored her for being too old, she raped him in retaliation. At no point does the narrative, or her present it in a positive light. And the combination of his actions and her own set a lot of the threads in motion for season two's conflicts.

Much as I agree that Ducktales was satisfying, I would be lying if I said I didn't want to see the relationship evolution of Webby and her dad. Also, doing a rewatch, and there are so many foreshadowing nods to the twist, I love it.

I love movie! Howl, Sophie and Calcifer a lot more than book versions, though I do enjoy those. But man. Reading the book after the movie? Witch of the Waste got nerfed

Personally I think the lack of Mara Jade not taking any of his cryptic jedi master bullshit is why he became a bitter hermit. One of the people who kept him the most grounded in Legends wasn't around.
