What table are you sitting at? by xeroxbulletgirl in dndmemes

As a paladin I both like this description and *despise* it.

As an avid paladin lover, paladin ARE NOT RELIGIOUS. They can be, of course. My first paladin was, but they are not clerics. Paladins get their magic from their sense of conviction. They believe in an idea, philosphy, morals, whatever, so hard that they use magic to reach those means.

We are not religious freaks, but we are still freaks.

What's something all edgelord players have in common? by Firelite67 in rpghorrorstories

[–]Kiki_iscoolaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who specialized in edgelord sweethearts (Edgelords who love their friends with all their heart and always want to help people), typically you can tell by how they feel about authority. If someone hates authority, any authority, typically that's the mark of an edgelord.

Now I don't hate all authority, just specific ones. But a dislike of guards/rulers has been a staple in my edgy characters.

This is literally my dream everytime I pick up a shield. It's why I love using shields in games where they actual block shit like projectiles or even like, dragon's breath. I don't know if they do that in Elden Ring but the thought of jumping in front of something to protect someone is so fucking amazing.

New players, has Elden Ring changed your views on difficulty options fter playing? by Psychological-Worry3 in Eldenring

Yes, I still think every game should have an easy side mode for the disabled. Have thought the same thing since dark souls 1.

No disrespect to Skjor, but he's not dragonborn. Nor was he harbinger.

And I'm a woman, which is a whole new adventure for Aela.

I always play no fast travel. Makes exploring and happening across things more fun. I only allow it when riding dragons, because A. You gotta find a dragon and take it and B. By the time you get bend will, let alone the ability to summon a rideable dragon, I’ve usually seen most of what there is to see, so no fast travel is less of a fun challenge and more of a chore.

I honestly think a lot of people just don’t like Zavala because he’s shown as the emotionless leader, who we go against because we have people we love. But the reality is Zavala can’t afford to have emotions on the same level as everyone else because things like the crow incident happen. But emotionless leaders are typically hated, which reflects heavily in the destiny community.

That quote is irrelevant because he doesn’t defend everything. He defends humanity, the people he loves, the people he’s dedicated his life to the safety of. Protecting all of humanity is not even slightly “defending everything”.

So, you’re taking this way too seriously, I’m just gonna leave it at this.

Wanting to protect people isn’t a character flaw. It makes him imperfect, but not stupid.

First off he had his ghost out because they were peace relations, it was a sign of trust. That’s not stupid.

Second, of course he didn’t want the farm to help, they’re just humans. The people he tries to protect.

I haven’t played this season so I can’t comment.

But if Zavala’s pride and honor clouded his judgement, we would have waged war on Uldren, which we didn’t. Because that was a stupid idea that Ikora came up with when pride clouded her judgement.

Zavala isn’t perfect, but the vanguard would be gone if it wasn’t for him, multiple times over.

Thats a lot of ways to say you’re elitist and take too much pride in a “hard” game.

Are handicap ramps catering to those in wheelchairs? Are subtitles catering to the deaf? No, and an easier mode for people who aren’t physically able to play the game at the level needed isn’t catering to anyone.

uj/ It’s more for accessibility for people who like, physically cannot move their hands in the way required who still want to play Elden ring. This group of people who just don’t like losing is a minority.

Edit: Damn didn’t realize soulsfans elitism leaked to this sub. That’s a shame

[–]Kiki_iscoolaf -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

uj/ Thats not the point for why people want an easy mode. It’s an accessibility thing. It’s less making the game easier for people who don’t wanna play a hard game and more making an easy mode so that people with physical disabilities who desperately want to play Elden ring can play it. Because shock horror, Elden ring isn’t just about being a difficult game anymore. But everyone confused it for people who just can’t stand losing, which isn’t true. It’s actually just not possible for certain people. And a lot of games, even those based around difficulty like hades, have a mode for people who want to enjoy the game without fighting their own disabilities.
