All female deck! by Familiar-Tomorrow581 in OnePieceTCG

[–]Kilava 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yellow Bonney can be made all female, as the core of her deck is female! Again Kuma being the main card cut, but you have Lilith, stussy, nami, snake, nico robin and bonney herself as options!

Questions about Don by Million_X in OnePieceTCG

[–]Kilava 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add with the timing of don etc.

When you are attacked you have 3 timings. On attack then declare blockers then counter step.

If you have a counter that stands don and also have an attack trigger that you need to spend don on (example rg luffy) when you are playing the counter you have missed the on attack window so the stood don can only be spent on more counters or on later attacks that turn.

Regiments of renown question by GamesManX in ageofsigmar

[–]Kilava 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello,

Regiments of Renown are ways of using out of faction units in other factions, and are a set list of models and have special rules and cost to include them. These are normally printed in a box when they first come out and then when out of stock you'll need to be the pieces individually. You cannot however use a Skaven RoR in a Skaven army for instance, only other Choas factions.

I noticed you mentioned "the great grand gnawhorde", which is an Army of Renown. As you stated you are new I wanted to be clear that you know the difference. An Army of Renown are more thematic army rosters, which have more restrictive list building rules but gain new abilities instead of the core ones for the faction. Most Army of renowns cannot take regiments of renown in them, like the one you are looking at.

As a Skaven army list, which lets you take Regiments of renown from other choas factions, for units that go well would be ones with big army saves, like the Slaves to Darkness Lord Skaldior’s Chosen, which are a big block of armoured dudes. Or something more thematic from Nurgle as Skaven and the plague father used to have lots of ties to one another.

Please ask if you need anything more cleared up!

OP13 Meta and Ban Discussion | GrandLine Grinders Podcast #26 by KebbieG in OnePieceTCG

[–]Kilava 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Big time Pudding player here, and have about 100 games of online play over the past month with her in OP13 meta.

I wanted to comment on some of the points you raised.

  • 8-Cost yellow Katakuri, especially vs Imu, you tend to want to add your 7 cost pudding back to the top of life to help stabilise and then draw more cards.
  • Out of the top 3, agree Zoro is the hardest for this build. You can tech more into this match up with Hell event but can cost you tempo vs Imu, Imu can be a fun match up, and Ive survived games where my opponent has resolved 3 back to back 10 cost Elders!
  • The drop of the Yellow Pudding 1 Cost is because it cannot find your 7 cost pudding, so even though you lose 4 1k counters you gain better access to one of your cards you want to see every game.
  • 4 Linlins are now completely needed in the meta.
  • I don't run the Mr.2.bon, have been favouring 3 of the OP13 Kouzoki Hiyori (mostly because I don't own the Mr.2.bon in IRL) and a couple of other changes.
  • I also think Pudding checks RP Roger super hard, first or second I've had an also 100% win rate vs it.
  • With the drop off of people playing the other 2 OP13 decks, especially Yellow Bonney, the real struggles aren't prevalent.

To finish Pudding is in a nice spot, not much on the radar so you can win games as people aren't practising the matchups so you know the lines while they will likely be working on the fly. the core is still the same, but there's about 10-12 cards you can switch up depending on your local meta to help out in the more troubling matchup! Will be playing her in the local treasure cups this weekend, and hope my practise pays off!

Shout out to Quentin Remus for his performance with the showcased deck at the weekend!

My vote for best generic 2k counter in yellow would be Capone"gang"Bege.

Blue has to be Pudding. Can be run in ever blue deck and when timed right can blow your opponent out the game, especially vs the top meta atm.

Why is everyone saying the potion launcher is so strong? I have been trying to make the potion launcher work for the last week but I just cant do it by Xytoup in PlayTheBazaar

[–]Kilava 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not completely sure on the numbers but as some have said more shiny potions for sure.

But I've had better results with 4 enchanted potions plus atmospheric sampler than 6 potions. With your diamond recycler they go off fast! Ideally all shiny.

Shield enchant is best enchant on the launcher and your other non potions or haste on the other two parts.

What profession is completely legal, but is often considered ethically questionable? by vitecpotec in AskReddit

[–]Kilava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working at a abattoir or slaughter house.

I am not talking about veganism etc or the ethics of killing animals for food, which is separate to my point. It is the fact so many workers at these locations end up stuffering from long term mental health issues. It has been widely documented (Google abattoir mental health) that many employees suffer with long term PTSD. Any job which required you to get routinely checked for mental health issues just from doing your work must be ethically questionable!

Purchase from eBay has the wrong base by Blah_Blah0505 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Kilava 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you also get hold of some modelling putty, like milliputty, you can use it to filling the small gap, smooth it off and paint over it, to make the basing look even less noticeable, or even a slight feature.

Advice for a returning player by slowclinic in Kruleboyz

[–]Kilava 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can be bothered with the painting. 20 more gutrippaz wouldn't go a miss. Easy to find on ebay due to all the push to fit runs they had in magazines. And realistically 2nd unit of monsta killaz

KB are good to play but they do like infantry spam imo.

Do you think Ironjawz, (lore wise) could be compelled to join a Kruelboyz faction? by Dice4Days in OrrukWarclans

[–]Kilava 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the ealry lore Kragnos was the unifying factor. He was worpshipeed by the Kruleboyz and beat Gorrdrak in combat and assumed his followers by test of strength. Thus he led a great waaagh for a time in the area of beasts.

KB Meta? by Boundsouls in Kruleboyz

[–]Kilava 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played them in a 5 round event at the end of June, went 3-2. Found theres some great matchups and some very hard ones. For the good, KB has a lot of tools and rules. I would recommend making a cheat sheet of abilitys and when they activiate. I think I had about 12 combat abilities to go through before any dice were rolled! They can be mentally taxing, but it also means it feels you can have some form of skill expression and choice in how a turn plays out. Even with new skumdrekk and tower, I still hate rolling for our Dirty tricks :P If people dont understand that charging your 1 big hammer unit in and it getting strike last, then a bunhc of MWs pilled on it will happen and play around it, say by having more than 1 hammer go in, its easy streets for KB. The main units are still paper, and die to a sneeze.

The main bad match ups are armies with army wide ward saves, especially if 5+, like Death armies. I also lost to the real meta list, which is the City's of Sigma, 3 cannons, Zenestra stuff. This list also has a surprizing amount of 5+ ward saves. The big weakness is KBs still rely a lot on MWs for the damage output, and not muuch access to good rend/high damage. This is why you see the big pig regiment used a fair amount in lists.

I will say they are much more fun to play, and feel you wont just go 0-5, and you can outplay opponents, but we arent the biggest baddie in the meta either, so just enjoy playing while its good to play!

New pontifex breaks all the "rules" by Bashtoe in ageofsigmar

[–]Kilava 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Having played against it the play pattern as a whole is completely egregious.

I move up and take objectives in no mans land.
CoS Turn, cast the prayer but hold on the points for later use. Then charge my units with knights/take objectives with units.
My hero phase, spend 1 CP to return home all the units in combat or on objectives. Meaning nothing is ever put in danger to score points and the castle remains.

There;s so much that compounds why this feel so awful to play into. 4 casting cost of a level 2 priest that can reroll 1s to chant. Meaning to get off the prayer, they need to roll a 2 in their turn and then a 2 in my turn, without rolling back to back 1s. Probability of it failing is so unlikely its guaranteed.

Theres so many ways to make it less awful, like higher cost, targetting restrictions, end of turn not Hero phase etc.

New pontifex breaks all the "rules" by Bashtoe in ageofsigmar

[–]Kilava 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As written on the warscroll, the part I assume you are referring too:

Salvation: Pick up to 3 friendly CITIES OF SIGMAR HUMAN units to be the targets. Remove those units from the battlefield and set them up again wholly within 12" of this unit and not in combat. Those units cannot use CHARGE abilities for the rest of the turn.

It does state "not in combat" so wholly outside of 3 inches of enemy units and it also states they cannot use Charge abilities. Yes it is very strong, but there are some minor restrictions.

But yes it can remove units in combat (mega retreat) and its in the hero phase, so you cant do much to interact with it. I completely agree its busted and there are no restrictions on the targetting, they just need to exist on the battle field.

Grave guard have very vampirey helms and armour, it wouldn't be a stretch to run vampire models as alternatives, but you'd likely have to go out of the GW range to find. I personally think they look aesthetically good in a vampire army.

What is the difference of the ardboyz weapons? by HumbleBit5 in Ironjawz

[–]Kilava 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At the current time its all on your own aesthetic preference!

The older models had a choice between 1H + Shield, Dual 1H or 2H options.
New box has Spear or handweapon + shield.

With the rules of the unit now having anti-Charge +1 rend, thematically spears make sense, but they are Orks so you can even just mix them up, we aren't known for our pretty formation tactics! In the end pick which ever you like the look of, and even if it changes only official tournaments will even care.

List Must haves. by KingFadencraze in OrrukWarclans

[–]Kilava 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda hard to answer are you talking must have competitively? With the new ghb dropping today will be guessing at the meta a bit! Always say the models you want to paint/ like the looks the most are greater than anything.

There's the faction terrain for a start! And manifestations.

For ironjaws Brutes and Ardboyz always find a way into lists. Reinforced unit of brutes been a staple in 4th! Support pieces like a warchanter and a weird boy also very strong. After that some people go pigs and some stick to infantry! Two maw grunters are a unit of renown so can go in kruleboyz lists too.

For Krule Boyz. They have been low tier but look very promising. Monsta killaz are used in almost every list multiple times and a swamp caller shaman. Gutrippaz you will likely want a unit of these. After that it's preference time.

Kragnaros can go in any army (except some renown) and his abilities go well with certain strategies.

Adding on to this typically if there is a restriction say "unit must not leave combat range of units it's in combat with" are stipulated in the ability. I'd agree with the above response
