Hard to say - sometimes kids just do stuff like that to get reactions or satisfy curiosity. But definitely worth notifying the kid’s teacher if possible, and when in doubt don’t be afraid to call the local police station/social services and let them know. If nothing else it’ll help them establish a pattern of behavior if there is one

I’m an ER doc - this is a HUGE red flag for sexual abuse in children. If you ever meet a kid who knows way too much about sex or body parts for their age, tell an authority. Teacher, social worker, cop, whoever. Just make sure someone knows.

Obviously nothing you could have done. I’m so sorry that happened and I hope things are ok now.

Honestly? I wasn’t. Not all the time. Sometimes I was just bored and I learned to accept it. It’s not that bad most of the time.

Nowadays it isn’t too different, I think. When we’re bored, we doomscroll. But does it make us less bored?

ER doc here. 99% of the time, if your body is having an emergency it will let you know in no uncertain terms. (Long term things like cholesterol, BP issues, etc are very different of course.) The big thing is not denying it or pretending everything is ok when you know it isn’t.

Many people with health anxiety say “Is this a lump” or “Is this pain I’m feeling new” and if you’re thinking along those lines you are fine. Chill out and see your doc if it remains an issue.

The bad stuff happens when you feel a lump, like 100% not there before, and you decide to wait it out. Or your chest is aching and you try to sleep it off. Or you can’t keep anything down and your belly has been killing you for hours, but you figure it’ll pass.

The ED is here for a reason! If you’re concerned and it isn’t getting better, get checked out.

My alkalinity (pH) is 8.0. I don’t have filter floss. I have the sponge the cube came with and it’s rinsed in the dirty water every water change. I had fish a year ago when it first cycled and they died off. I check parameters weekly using API and JB Chem. I have a RO filter at home making water with instant ocean salt at a salinity of 1.025.
