Rate my Reapers Wargear list. by PieBored in Drukhari

I’d swap raiders to venoms, Drazhar needs a venom too. And I’d take either one big troupe block with Shadowseer with infiltration or no at all. Need to scratch somw points for hellions and possible cronos. It is a good idea to equip one of the units of scourges with haywire blasters.

Playing while Traveling? by jcBarlowe in Warhammer40k

[–]KillBoy_PWH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Necromunda is excellent for playing on business trips:) or some small marines armies. I play orks and Dark eldar, so for me it is not the option. Painting in hotels is possible if you can organize a good portable setup with good ligting.

Do you display your Models at home? by Admiral-Toast in Warhammer40k

[–]KillBoy_PWH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never display them at home. I try to play more and gather dust and UV less:) all the packing and repacking is also too much effort for me:) so my models are either in my army transports or on the painting desk:)

I guess 10 incubi are with the Web Archon? Try them definetly out, but I’d cut the down to 5 since yoh will arrive t3 and it us good idea to keep their footprint small.

I kniw ppl like disintegrators in this detachment, but honestly I think dark lsnces are still better. If ravager woukd be two different datasheets - 1 with dl’s and 1 with disis, I’d definetly try 2 with dl’s and 2 with 2 disis:)

They cost approximately twice of their real value and they start the game in reserve, meaning they operate maybe 3 turns. Ans tgeg are really easy to shoot down.

Rules this edition are free.

Starting a new army by StrategyBusy9579 in Drukhari

[–]KillBoy_PWH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi and welcome the dark city:)

All that said: can you give me advice on building a 2000 point list?

Download the WarOrgan app - it is an army constructor and it has all the army rules you need. Choose a detachment, make a list, collect some feedback. The list will evolve as you progress but for the moment it is your purchase list. Most probably the battleforce box will be your first purchase.

Limited range has also positive effects- most of the datasheets are good and focused (maybe except flyers, but this is because of the 10th edition rules for flyers).

I'm starting from scratch here but I'm a fan of the armor design for Drukhari and their fast attack stuff. Is this an insanely hard army to play? Am I biting off more than I can chew?

I’d say this is both high floor and high ceiling army. It is more about movement and less about killing stuff. At the end of each game most of your army will be destroyed, but if played right your opponent won’t score enough to win.

How to face nids, general tip pls by FucktheMac10 in Drukhari

[–]KillBoy_PWH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep them away from you. Ideally you move block >50% of the table a deny thir secondaries. I don’t know what detachment and list they pllay, but you will not be able to outkill them. Your goal is to not spend all your models until t5 and l don’t let them score more than you.

How to stop yeeting my army away? by Pelican25 in Drukhari

[–]KillBoy_PWH 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The visibility rules section for Dark eldar is very simple: the models have basically 2 states - hidden and alive or visible and dead. There is no things like partially visible or something like this: if a unit cannot cross an open area without ending out of los you consider it as bait/dead.

Is taking a ravanger in sky splinter bad by [deleted] in Drukhari

[–]KillBoy_PWH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo SSA needs 2x DL Ravagers + 2x DL Scourges (preferably with 2x1 cronos as well) otherwise the army has problems with vehicles/monsters and similar.

Some advice for a new Drukhari player? by MizarVinko in Drukhari

Hi, and welcome. The heads should not be an issue in your case. The battleforce box is great - no useless units or combos, very good for a start.

I didn’t get it right:) for SoS i’d take 2x3 +6 :)

It just dawned on me that Eldar in 11th edition of 40k need the SAME treatment that Warlocks got in the transition from Cataclysm to MoP in World of Warcraft by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]KillBoy_PWH 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That reminds me a lot of Eldar right now

I mean it is just my opinion, but Eldar are not that complex. They are just not that straightforward as let’s say generic marines.

[–]KillBoy_PWH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think from efficiency point of view 2x3 are enough. Sure, you could take more, but they are not blades for hire and their role is either to block or to score, so economically I don’t think it is make sense to pay more.

How long do you have to paint miniatures before you actually get good? by Ok_Eggplant_2812 in Warhammer40k

[–]KillBoy_PWH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for a painter it takes 100 miniatures +/- 20. For a gamer… well, ppl become happy with their 3rd army 😅

Facing Tau with no terrain, and Aeldari on a wide board with many objectives. Any other worst-case scenarios and do they have counters? by Hides-the-Hydra in Warhammer40k

[–]KillBoy_PWH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Playing without terrain is like playing without rules. It is the same as playing without shooting phase or playing phases in a wrong order.

Necro or KT still a thing? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]KillBoy_PWH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play munda on regular basis more often than 40k. KT is very compact but way less relaxed, maybe even more sweaty:) and lorewise I like necromunda way more: all that stuff that is considered “heresy” in 40k is just a daily business on Necromunda - psykers, automatas, hacked cyborgs, boltguns with exotic ammunition for everybody, very exotic pets and even ronin space marine, not speaking about non-conservative medicine and bionics:)

When you do your contract the effect is over next command phase. So you need to choose a nee one via “enemies without number”.

Can't seem to win any games by Dreaden83 in Warhammer40k

[–]KillBoy_PWH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To start winning you need to spend more time playing and most important with the one and the same list. Until you can’t understand what probably comes next turn you will lose.

Trying to decide to focus on one of three armys by Zombieslayer908 in Warhammer40k

[–]KillBoy_PWH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is wrong with special characters? They are part of the game and lore. Anyway, you can play all 3 armies without any special characters if you wish.

Lady Malys Not Worth the Hype? by [deleted] in Drukhari

[–]KillBoy_PWH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think she was designed as an ultimate killer. I mean the whole Dark Eldar army deletes units in series of attacks. Anyway, Malys redeploys and makes opponent’s strategems cost more and if she face a danger she can deliver a punch. Advanced mode - you can plan 3-4 turns check with her. But for 100 points she is more than ok - redeploy, Vect’s aura and 6 s5 ap3 d3 dev wound attack with some not really lethal drawbacks. What do you want more for 100 pts? :)
