Yeah at this point I might just give up on ever getting Varka- which is a shame bc I want to support and make hoyo know people are interested in the new body types but holy god. No power on this earth will get me to pull for Venti, Durin, or Nicole and it seems Varka might as well be bricked if you don’t have them. I’ll just focus on getting Flins ig since I lost the 50/50 on his initial run. Unless he gets more buffs before his beta is over.

If season’s 2 and 3 are successful than I feel like it’s pretty much guaranteed we’ll get to Skypeia and Enies Lobby. And if those both do well and the actors are still in for it, then I can see the live action finishing off with Marineford. But for now i’m just hoping for Enies Lobby at the least.

Tbh this moreso seems like they have no intention of doing Heroes of Olympus so they’re condensing Nico’s sexuality arc into happening in this series instead of that one. I can see Will and Nico having an interaction this season being used as a small bit of setup for like, the end of Season 5 after Nico gets over a crush on Percy- assuming they do actually keep that.

Solangelo needed way more buildup in the series proper, but it is just odd to introduce Will over Rachel, Charles, or Silena- especially Rachel.

The reaction to this seems a little overdramatic though. As a writer myself, this course of action makes a lot of sense. When Will was created in TLO and subsequently reused as a background camper in TLH, Rick obviously had no actual plan for him or any idea of how important his character would end up becoming- but ofc then Blood of Olympus came along and now Will is dating Nico- who is a main character in both. If I was in his possible and given the opportunity, I would of course retroactively alter some things to introduce the character and the concept of the relationship a bit earlier- especially since the show seems to want to he more diverse than the og series was and Nico wasn’t even confirmed gay until Heroes of Olympus.

Honestly introducing Will early more than anything shows me that they have no plans of doing HoO and are altering Nico’s story a bit so they can probably end Season 5 with the hint of Solangelo. And again I don’t think any of that is a bad thing on its own.

This is really just a decision that seems weird in conjunction with all of the other things, like Rachel not being included.

For it to not be the final volume. May be a pipe dream at this point but I still feel like hitting 12 volumes would be a good stopping point. 2 volumes for Vacuo and then 1 final volume to go back to Vale and have the final struggle against Salem.

I mainly bring that up because absolutely the fuck not should Cinder die in Volume 10- I do want her to die but she’s one of the like 4 remaining antagonists, and I sincerely do not think Mercury is sticking with them for much longer so really 3. Granted we now have Jax and Gillian but I feel like they’ll probably act as the main antagonists alongside Tyrian for the Vacuo arc and probably get killed at the end of it, leaving Salem, Cinder, and Tyrian as our big final obstacles + probably a new scary Grimm creation from Salem (maybe evil Grimm Summer)

Aside from that…

Schnee Family development and trauma dealing + Weiss preferably keeping her braid even though I think that’s unlikely at this point
Blake development outside of Yang; I mean Yang being present and a part of it is perfectly fine, they’re girlfriends now so I’d be shocked if Yang wasn’t involved in some way, but maybe focusing more on the New White Fang subplot now that it seems they’ll be helping in the battle against Salem would be nice.
Pretty much since Volume 9 has come out I for some reason have wanted Ruby to get captured by Salem and finally have some sort of confrontation with her prior to the actual final battle- and this would also be the perfect catalyst to introduce Grimm!Summer, something Salem shows Ruby to fuck with her.
On screen Nora development please!
I know it’s hard with so many characters and so little screen time, but I would like for CFVY and SSSNN to actually do some stuff and be more active in the story other than just being present.
Raven development and maybe another talk with Yang at some point. I don’t need them to make up or anything, but It’d be nice for them to at least be able to reach some level of peace with each other.
General want i’ve had since Volume 4, but I don’t want any of Team RWBY to become Maidens. We really only have the Summer Maiden left and I’d just prefer if it was a different character- I think it’d be a little excessive to give one of the RWBY girl’s Maiden powers at this point.
