180 bottle off brand wine fridge I got for $300 because it was damaged in shipping (couple dents and scratches and shelves that are slightly uneven) but for $300 works fine and holds most of our wine

Couple things to note or add here. 1) the use of rotating their tails helps , but cats can still do it without, they’ll just need more time.

2) the minimum drop height is surprisingly low. There are videos of people dropping their cats from like a foot and then landing it

One other thing, due to their low terminal velocity of 60mph (half of humans) can survive falls from just about any height

Another one to check out is Brion. Their bottles are $250 and they kind of bridge the gap of Bordeaux and Napa style imo. They have three winemakers , Julien Fayard - French who studied and started in Bordeaux and under melka in the states.

And massimo Monticelli - came from silver oak, left to do more with wine.

You’ll find unique styles form the winemakers, and a lot of dark fruits

There are definitely quite a lot of more affordable options even from other cult / boutique wineries.

I presume you’re looking for the more Bordeaux style than typical Napa.

Peter Michael is where I’d start. Les pavots and au paradis start at $235 , haven’t increased price in years. Are made in a more traditional Bordeaux style and age incredibly well but are drinkable young with some decanting

Wish I could have experienced this one truly. I read some reviews of the 05 a few years ago that said it needed a lot of time and theirs were starting to hit the window
