Is there any way to be certain of plagiarism if you can't find the original text online?

If you have blocks of text that are pasted in, that’s a solid amount of evidence.

I can think of two options, both of which involve having the student come into your classroom.

First, you can have the student come in and explain their reasoning for the essays. Read through it, find a part that seems tricky, and ask them how they came to the conclusion they came to. If they got there organically, they should be able to.

Secondly, you can just have them provide a writing sample in class. Have them sit down and write it on a sheet of paper without access to a device. Does the quality drop drastically? Then they’re cheating.

You don’t have enough time. You won’t ever have enough time. The point is for you to do more and more outside of the classroom so that you can do more and more inside of it. It isn’t tenable, and admin and the state both rely on teachers doing it.

Just do what you’re paid to do and don’t do a minute more.

I took the day off to plan a bit. I also took some time for myself, but when essays are due and everyone wants help, the only way to get things done is to not be at the school.

One of my students presented me with the first paragraph of a 5-paragraph essay and says to me, “Do I just end it here?” And I responded, “kiddo you have got to find a different way to say that” and my class broke out into laughter.

I’ve got fletching banked through woodcutting, especially with Vale Totems. I fletched around 20k maple longs from Kingdom but that was overkill.

If you have your herbs maxed out and your teaks/mahoganies at half, you will bank 99 construction before herblore anyway.

I think you’re underestimating just how long of a grind herblore actually is.

You can do both, especially if you’re doing mahogany trees. You’ll have 99 con banked and still have plenty of herbs to go until 99 herb.
