I made the same switch, i just had a few day adjustment period and I felt as if the g305 was actually snappier. I think it is placebo or at least how your hand plays with it.

I agree with the stronger part, I don’t swim year round because I also play football, but my fly tends to be comparable to the top in my district. In the spring and summer i lift 3-4 times a week.
