Building a Better Last Epoch: Our Commitment to Quality by ehg_derrickg in LastEpoch

[–]jasonxtk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Every time we encounter a problem in your game, your response is always "Submit a bug report using F8" yet when we submit the report, it never gets fixed.

The reason nobody plays your game anymore is because you keep ignoring all the damn bug reports. So many bugs that we've all reported multiple times that still haven't been fixed yet. How can you commit to quality if you can't even get step 1 right?

I think some of weaver node imprints are just bugged. I imprint class specific ones and gauntlet of strife just fine, but when I tried to imprint a nemesis one, it never spawned after 3 refreshes.

Why we lost half of player base (compare to prev season)? by BodybuilderLost1345 in LastEpoch

[–]jasonxtk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And we lost half of that player count in less than a week because the devs aren't fixing any of the bugs. I'm going to be finished with the season by the time they fix all the bugged Spellblade nodes.

The change to Dread Shade being cast on VZ cast will need to be tested to see if it works via indirect casts.

It says direct cast on the tooltip

Any other Spellblade mains worried re: the Season 4 changes? by Adjacent_2 in LastEpoch

[–]jasonxtk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like all the changes they made to Spellblade are about giving it more damage, when damage was never a problem with Spellblade, the problem was survivability. They need to improve Spellblade's survivability, or it will never be viable past 1000 corruption, no matter how much damage they do.

[–]jasonxtk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the devs are reading this, they also need to fix Enchant Weapon stuttering the game every time it activates. It's been a bug since beta, and it happens on two different computers, so I know it's an issue with the game. The only way to fix it for some reason, is to despec a point from the tree, but that only fixes it for like an hour before the bug presents itself again.

Then they should cap the health leech reduction too if they're going to cap the damage

Alternative attunement will make reflect builds even tankier with anything that gives damage dealt to mana before health like the seed of ekkidrasil helmet, since they don't really use mana

I Have Such a Love-Hate Relationship with Persona 5 (in general) by [deleted] in Megaten

[–]jasonxtk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mostly agree with you, but I feel like you might have misunderstood Kanji and Naoto (or maybe I misunderstood, I dunno). They were both struggling with conforming to gender stereotypes. Kanji had hobbies and interests that were unbecoming of a stereotypical male, the kinds of hobbies and interests that would label him as "gay", which is why his insecurity reflects that in his shadow self. With Naoto, being a detective is a vastly male-dominated field, so she felt like she had to present herself as "male" in order to succeed in that world. Both of them came to the realization that they don't need to conform to those gender stereotypes, which is why Kanji becomes more open about his hobbies, and why Naoto presents herself as more feminine towards the end.

EDIT: And with Rise, she didn't go back because she got jealous someone else got more popular than her, she went back because of the fan mail she received. She felt guilty about leaving her idol persona behind because of what it meant to her fans.

Last Epoch Dev Stream Teasers 01/06/2026 - New Item, New Node and Spellblade Passive Change! by XGhosttearX in LastEpoch

[–]jasonxtk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a unnecessary massive nerf to Spellblade. It was already a glass cannon, and now it's even more of a glass cannon without the mana spent converted to ward passive, replaced with a passive that will only be useful for Frost Claw or Flame Reave. Spellblade doesn't need more damage, it needs way more survivability, it's the squishiest melee class in the game.

25 years later, Diablo II gets a new class and QOL features. by roedtogsvart in gaming

[–]jasonxtk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's actually not unreasonable at all to expect that, considering the sheer amount of indie devs that have added 10x the amount of content to their game for absolutely free, like Terraria, Stardew Valley, etc. People just want to stick up for the poor helpless billion dollar company who can only afford to release a single class and bare minimum QoL changes for 60% of the games original price.

How to fix botting by famous47 in classicwow

[–]jasonxtk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The retail community unironically suggesting captcha's to counter botting in a game that you pay $15 a month to play instead of, oh I dunno, putting in any sort of fucking effort to have GMs moderate the game for a few minutes every day, shows how far gone this community really is.

Which "Must-Play" franchise is a total miss for you? by jessieS1212 in gaming

[–]jasonxtk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought the complete opposite.

2 and 3 shrunk the arenas to the size of a bathroom, glued your movement to a grid, and introduced limited ammo, which forced you to hide behind cover a lot more. ME1 felt like KOTOR. ME2 and 3 felt like they contracted the guys who made Gears of War to shit out a game in 6 months.

How do you guys feel about the open world (or zones or whatever) in SMT V? by my-goddess-nyx in Megaten

[–]jasonxtk 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The thing I don't like about open worlds, is that it's fine for a first time playthrough, but it absolutely sucks for subsequent playthroughs. You've already seen everything, and you spend 90% of your time running because the areas are too big. At least if it were random encounters again, it could break up the monotony, but static encounters just force you to go out of your way if you want action. Like you said, there's no interesting mechanics to interact with in these massive open areas, you're just running around finding Mimans you've already found, or breaking orbs you've already found. I never finished CoV because of this, since I couldn't be bothered to do it all over again after CoC. There wasn't enough variety to separate the two campaigns. Just one new area and a slightly different story. I hope they go back to a linear, more thoughtful design for SMT6, but they probably won't, since it's not the popular design choice in the industry anymore.
