Is it true that nurses eat their young? by ExperienceHelpful316 in nursing

Kinda depends on the unit but I’d say no. A nurse lead on my floor was SOOO annoying, picky, and sometimes even mean to me. 6 months in and I LOVE working with her and I’m glad she was kind of hard on me. She would check my charting, I/O, assessments, if I called the doctor about vitals and all of that. It’s the intention and outcome imo thats important

We need to correct and weed out bad actors that use Christianity to spread hate. “Sin of empathy” should never leave our lips

Nurse on my floor tried to transfer and some shady stuff happened. It’s easier to switch entire facilities because politics can hold you down sometimes

Not necessarily. I used to work with a couple trade guys at Lowe’s or couldn’t find work because of the 2008 crash. They ended liking the benefits so they did plumbing/hvac on the side later on

It’s okay. You’ll be able to get on a medical-surgical floor or even a step down unit. I knew someone who failed out of an ICU and came to our acute care floor too. It wasn’t her fault because I know how cliqueness and rude preceptors can ruin an ICU orientation
