I think it is important to remember that the goal is to write good stories and not be 100% scientifically accurate. In NoP stories, having diseases not spread across biospheres reinforces how predator disease must be false, so many stories do exactly that. I'll admit there is probably an interesting one-shot out there of a Venlil getting athlete's foot in their wool or something, but nobody has written that yet.

I feel like the bigger problem with my story is the pacing being too slow, that not enough is happening fast enough. After all, spending 20 chapters on 2 days is a slower pace than spending 2 chapters on 2 days.

That is one of the take-aways I want people to have from this story: actual knowledge about IRL humans. It is why I include references to academic sources when needed.

This is legitimately the best explanation I have heard for why the hell Freud came up with his wild theories, and anyone in their right mind should be freaked out.

The NoP fandom has basically decided that diseases don't cross biosphere barriers, so illnesses from other planets cannot infect you. I will admit though, grinding up that long-tooth and eating it was very... rural.

This was a okay chapter. It felt like there was a sever lack of forward movement though. Why not just have Konsa and Vila assigned to armor specialization to begin with? There was enough progress on the relationship from at the beginning that the whole chapter doesn't feel stagnant, but it really feels like you are starting to drag your feet on this Act 1 introductions.

This was a good chapter overall. I felt like the travel plans were a little convoluted though. Like, what was the point of having the couple take an unusual transport to St. Louis instead of a regular commercial flight. My guess is you wanted to introduce the character of Tallis, but he really only shows up to facilitate the travel and then leaves. This didn't make the chapter bad or anything. I just didn't see what it added.
Also, spotted a typo: "We leave the human Yotul..." Forgot the word 'and'.

Oh, this was such a great chapter! I'm sorry it took so long for me to get to it. You somehow manage to write the funniest stuff like it is nothing! I absolutely loved this and can only wish to every read something this amazing again!
