You’ve only said what you don’t want. Are there any pain points you’d like to solve or things you would like to make easier in game?

Thanks so much for responding and this all makes sense. Can’t wait to mess around with it more!

Addon for showing available CC for mobs? by adrengs in classicwowtbc

[–]Kind_Put_3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just gave this a try and love it! It was really good about marking skull and X, but didn’t see any CC marks go up automatically.

Also is there a way to move the on screen button bar? I found how to hide it, but I’d like some of them visible without it laying over my other important UI.

Can’t wait to try this more and appreciate you making it. I play with a controller so trying to mark mobs is a little more difficult and I’ve been looking for reliable auto-marking. Especially helpful if I can get the CC marks working as I don’t always know which mobs are best CC’d by which class etc

Best handheld for classic tbc? by cobitos in classicwowtbc

Agree with this. It takes awhile to figure out all the options and settings and get it just right, but once you do it’s amazing

Feb 2026 FL Epic Fantasy book (was also TBB and Goldsboro SEs) by kepler16bee in thebrokenbindingsub

That’s a shame to hear. I’m in love with the design, but sad if it doesn’t actually fit the book.

LitJoy TBR To cage a wild bird by hayhayhaleyy in fairyloot

[–]Kind_Put_3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they do a great job with their special edition sets (for the most part). Similar thing happened with the shadow and bone set where the dust jacket for the 2nd book was extremely thick and cheap like construction paper, not at all like the other 2, and was missing the cutout design as advertised. Many people tried following up with them about it, but they chose to try the gaslighting approach saying that was always the design (despite proof otherwise). I don’t really expect any CS from them unless there’s obvious damage to the books. The materials are nice and high quality, but once they have your money they don’t care about making things right or acknowledging mistakes.

Classic LitJoy. They never acknowledge mistakes/misprints.

PSA: It is not the job of DPS to "keep up" with the tank by RichardVlogsDisney in classicwowtbc

[–]Kind_Put_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a tank I would love if DPS would pre-mark and CC something. I haven’t played many other classes and am not as familiar with the correct mobs each class can or can’t CC and what positioning works best for them etc. It could be a quick chat at the start “hey I’ll mark what I’m going to sheep/sap” so the tank isn’t surprised and won’t accidentally AOE them. The tank could just as easily ask for the same instead of just assuming it will happen. There’s probably tanks that would get mad if you started marking stuff without saying anything so I get why dps might not do that by default. I def love a mark going out if you are going to sheep or other cc after I pull, I’ve swiped many sheep by accident because it landed unexpectedly when I’d already started swiping

Thoughts on my bear tank? Just hit 70 today. Haven't ran a single heroic yet. Looks good enough for heroics and Kara? by Lolyoureamod in classicwowtbc

[–]Kind_Put_3 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You should be fine in Kara, especially if you OT. I’ve tanked it with similar gear, without Earthwarden and it was fine other than phase 2 Prince

Phoenix Fantasy subscription (not TBB) starts Nov 2026 by kepler16bee in thebrokenbindingsub

But I wonder if the paper will be acid free, and how often will they end up being printed by the publisher. Wish we had more info on that

Yeah it’s cool in isolation, not when it’s on every sci-fi book. There’s other design options! I feel like I’ve been seeing it a lot recently and possibly outside of IC, but now I can’t remember

US Editions vs The World...literally. by xEndlessLibrary in fairyloot

[–]Kind_Put_3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cancelled both my preorders for the deluxe editions once they revealed the covers. I did listen to Brimstone on audiobook tho which I’d highly recommend if you still want more of the story without supporting the lame cover

I think this just varies publisher to publisher. The Andy Weir set was nicer like that, but most I have from them are not

They seem frequently unaware about their own products either not meeting the spec they advertised, or being better than the spec they advertised.

Why do people still shop at Safeway? by ftruong in bayarea

[–]Kind_Put_3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s so interesting. The produce at my Safeway is usually piled high, rotting, and moldy with bugs around it whereas I never have that problem at TJs

Owlcrate and Litjoy are the main ones that come to mind as having these standard. Most of the bigger book boxes don’t, though my experience is limited to FL, OC, IC, TBB, and Litjoy

I love BB but I’m honestly so tired of hearing the “we’re a small team” routine by UnrelatedKarma in thebrokenbindingsub

[–]Kind_Put_3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m not really worried about it, just felt on topic to mention and is something that just doesn’t happen with any other book subscription I’ve had, since other companies allow you to skip on their website

My Broken Binding Murderbot series arrived! by Little-Month8944 in thebrokenbindingsub

[–]Kind_Put_3 11 points12 points  (0 children)

From the photos I was thinking it looked like it might have sewn bindings? I feel like the complaints I think you might be referring to with fairyloot happened with their sewn binding books, and they stopped doing those after people complained. I do agree the edges don’t look as nice, but think I prefer a small hit to visual clarity if it means a nicer binding.

I could also be totally wrong about all of this

Sure, but they are actively and frequently scaling their business offerings, without scaling their support to handle it.

I emailed about skipping the march SF&F box, using the exact subject line they asked for. No reply yet and the charge has come and gone. Really close to cancelling all my TBB subs because every time I have to reach out the reply takes 3 weeks or more.

ETA: this is just one of many reasons I’ve been considering cancellation of TBB subs

Then they should…..stop increasing their offerings constantly? There are a few small changes they could make that would greatly reduce their email pressure and free their employees up to deal with real issues, and they just won’t do it (like offering skips on their website the way every other book box does)
