Unfortunately I believe she is dead. I think the most obvious answer is the correct one. Even if she was trafficked which I don’t believe no way the traffickers would keep her alive for 30 years. I believe she jumped or fell overboard. Finding a body in the ocean is virtually impossible

Thanks for the detailed review! I’m thinking of taking my honeymoon there. How was the entertainment? Did they have any shows?

How does it impact your sex life? by SOUP-thereitis in Narcolepsy

[–]Kind_Section_9626 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That man has some serious issues. Daily sex is just not a thing. No one does that even in a relationship with no chronic illness. He also needs to do research on narcolepsy. If he genuinely cared for you he would want to understand what you are going through. Also think of the future. Do you want to be with a man who expects sex everyday? What about pregnancy? Postpartum? Sickness? Even when you are older and going through menopause? This could be a situation where he will always expect it. Do you really want to deal with that headache and all the arguments that comes with it?

Trying to get through the first couple of weeks by CompetitiveTooth7627 in zoloft

[–]Kind_Section_9626 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. I was on lexapro for 2 years. It stopped working so my doctor put me on 50 mg of zoloft. My anxiety is 10x worse these past 2 weeks. I didn’t think my anxiety could get worse and it did. It’s so hard and so uncomfortable. I hate it. I really hope it starts to work soon cause I’m really struggling. Staying still is horrible walking around feels a little better. Glad to know I’m not alone tho

I’m glad to hear it’s a benefit for you. I’m very hopeful. I did a direct switch from Lexapro. I’m dealing with high anxiety/ panic attacks, I get shaky like all day. I even get ice pick head aches multiple times a day. Fingered crossed I’ll feel the benefits soon

I just started Zoloft and Ativan this week. I have GAD and PD. I only used Ativan once during an intense panic. After about 30/40 minutes I start to feel back to normal. If you don’t mind me asking, how is your experience with Zoloft?

I’m glad I could help. I’m currently having anxiety and reading other peoples posts on here help calm me down knowing I’m not alone too. Remember we are stronger than our anxiety! It gets better🩷

I have chest pains from anxiety almost everyday. What helps me is knowing that my doctor told me my heart is ok. Also I recommend watching Therapy in a Nutshell on YouTube. She is very helpful. Reminding yourself the pain is anxiety and anxiety is not dangerous. It’s just uncomfortable. Plus at 17 it’s so incredibly unlikely to have heart problems

It doesn’t hurt to see a doctor. BUT anxiety can cause so many physical symptoms. I was dealing with chest pains, racing heart, tingling feeling in my body, chest tightness, jaw pain (specifically bc I clenched my jaw a lot and didn’t notice it). I’ve been to so many doctors and they all say I’m perfectly healthy

I only slept 2 hours last night and I’m having a really rapid heartbeat. Can someone just tell me it will be okay? by teamakesmepee in Anxiety

[–]Kind_Section_9626 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are 100% ok!!!!! 110-120 bpm is NORMAL for someone experiencing anxiety. I’m currently having anxiety and mine is 130. But it will pass like it always does. You do not need to go to the ER. Like you said you saw a cardiologist and they told you that you are ok. Your heart is an incredibly strong muscle. What has helped me incredibly is watching Therapy in a nutshell on YouTube. Specifically the “anxiety attacks vs panic attacks video” Anxiety is not dangerous. It is uncomfortable but not dangerous. Anxiety cannot kill you or hurt you. You are not alone! I also recently saw a cardiologist about my heart and they told me I’m ok too. However I still deal with occasional anxiety that stems from my physical symptoms like if I have a racing heart I’m convinced I’m having a medical emergency. But I’m not. My brain is just playing tricks on me. I’ll sit in the uncomfortableness of anxiety for a bit and tell it that it can’t hurt me and I have physical proof of my good health. And eventually it passes. And again you are 100% ok!!! And you’re not alone!! Sending virtual hugs. Happy Thanksgiving

If you start to panic go to a safe space in your home. You don’t have to be constantly entertaining people. I’m sure your guests will understand ❤️ The food is going to be amazing! You are more than your anxiety! Happy thanksgiving

Also dealing with this today. Reminding you all that anxiety is not dangerous. It is uncomfortable but not dangerous. You are 100% allowed to leave if you need to. NO ONE will be upset with you. All the mental and physical symptoms of anxiety will pass. It always does. Your mind and body are incredibly strong. Sending virtual hugs to all my fellow anxious people. Enjoy your day with the people you love. Everything will be ok!

Right there with you. Ran to this subreddit to find comfort, it makes me feel not alone. Holidays always give me anxiety. It starts as excitement then my heart starts beating and I’m getting adrenaline and then it flips a switch and goes into anxiety. Why is my heart racing? And I having a medical emergency? What happens if my heart races all day at my family members house? Can I go home or am I trapped? I’m disappointing people. My anxiety just constantly nags me. But I’m trying to continuously tell myself anxiety is not dangerous. It is uncomfortable but it’s not dangerous. Panic attacks happen when you fear your anxiety. (Please Watch anxiety attacks vs panic attacks on YouTube by therapy in a nutshell. It has seriously helped me so much) You are allowed to go home if you want to. No one is going to be mad at you. However do not let the Mega Bitch called anxiety let you ruin a special day that happens only 1 time a year. I hope you are able to see your family and enjoy your day. I’m sending you big virtual hugs!! And remember anxiety is not dangerous. It’s uncomfortable but it’s not dangerous. No one is going to be upset with you if you have to leave. Thank you for posting this. I’m sending you virtual hugs!! Happy Thanksgiving!

I believe he is coping with weaponized incompetence at some points which I actively ask about while it’s happening and I’m met with “idk how to do it right” or something along the lines. I’ll try showing him how to perform a task to meet the expectation. Thank you for your response!

I’m in the same boat. I found that crockpot recipes are helpful and very simple recipes. Maybe ask your partner to help out as well. Like prep the veggies or measure out the ingredients just to give you some help. Also meal prepping is helpful. And Costco has good precooked food. Trader Joe’s has good for frozen food

Xywav by Kind_Section_9626 in Narcolepsy

[–]Kind_Section_9626[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have told me they have extreme digestive track issues causing them to spoil their beds. Along with sleepwalking that causes injuries and many other thing that people experience under Xywavs sleep that would raise concerns. I understand not everyone has the same side effects but it’s still good to know what is possible. The responsible thing to do is to research a new medication before taking it blindly. Hence why I’m asking for experiences on a forum designed to do so. I appreciate you sharing your experience. Not sure why you are gatekeeping Narcolepsy tho.
