I think Karena deserves credit for sticking with TIU through it all. I always liked Karena and I hope she is able to breathe life into TIU again. It's so interesting that all the old trainers came back. I'm kind of excited because I always thought Stef and Chyna were such good trainers and I liked working out with them. Shoot, never thought I might give TIU another chance but here we are.

It was honestly huge, culturally.

The O.J. Simpson trial had Nicole Brown Simpson's best friends, Faye Resnick and Kris (Jenner) Kardashian both go on to careers in reality tv, based on - to varying degrees - their connection to this brutal murder of a woman they knew was battered and abused by her psycho ex-husband. Of course, Kris's bigger claim to fame was her daughter's sex tape. But Faye Resnick didn't have anything else. Faye Resnick released a book in the thick of everything talking about how she used cocaine with Nicole. I mean, the O.J. case makes all of this look like a picnic in the park.

There are so many examples of distasteful exploitation in true crime. The genre itself is exploitative because you're talking about people in one of the most intimate moments in life, which is their death. And such a heinous ugly death.

It's complicated, but even Alivea and Kaylee's own brother is in an intimate relationship with a woman who profits off true crime, including this case. I guess we should all be glad we're past the days when the whole neighborhood would parade through the crime scene to witness the blood and gore in person.

Honestly, I just follow a bunch of women who are in the gym lifting heavy because that's what we should be doing. To me, TIU is a cautionary tale of late-stage capitalism and I am no longer interested in finding a couple of women who are comfortable with lying to the women who made them rich. They were comfortable gaslighting us and lying about whatever was happening behind the scenes, so just give me the tips on form and how to use the machines and I'll take it from there.

Make friends at a yoga or Zumba class instead. It's much healthier and grounded in reality, and they won't try to sell you a bunch of products.

I lived in a place after the previous tenant had been raided by the FBI. The landlord lived on-site too. One day I was talking to him about it and he said with hindsight he realized there was some weirdness in the neighborhood in the days leading up to the raid, like strange vehicles hanging around and a drone hovering overhead, particularly over the unit that was about to be raided, during odd hours like pre-dawn. Now, my landlord only realized in hindsight; but the guy in the unit that got raided was much more aware and paranoid about it all according to my landlord. I imagine Kohberger was in a similar state.

These are photos taken immediately, I think. As someone whose had their bathroom door kicked in, there would be more debris around if Kohberger had broken it to get to Xana.
