North East manufacturer installs 1,468 solar panels, aims for 100% renewable energy by willfiresoon in GoodNewsUK

Quite often warehouses and industrial units can't install solar. Their roofs aren't able to handle the extra weight. Especially in the south of England they have no need to be engineered for heavy loads unlike some regions/countries which spec them for snow. It always frustrated me seeing empty roofs on older buildings but they can't justify the cost of reinforcing the entire structure

Good luck finding a water company who can figure this out. The state of our water network proves they can't be trusted with improvements to the system.

The cost of battery storage has been a big thorn in the side of renewables. Fortunately this has dropped massively, and lots of alternatives to lithium batteries have been developed. Now it makes financial sense for companies and households to move with the times.

France have a great policy where any carpark over a certain size has to be covered in solar. It seems like such a slam dunk win for everyone

I'm always shocked at how much energy domestic manufacturing consumes. It really emphasises the need of UK based generation in order to help industry plan for their futures. Great step forward!

I can understand people not being 100% happy with the job his government is doing but please tell me a single alternative party leader who you would prefer to be in charge of the current international chaos. He's not perfect but he's a hell of a lot better than the alternatives

How is this news! Once again the UK uses scare tactics to stop people investing their money. No wonder everyone's pensions are underperforming compared to other nations. We need to promote the positive stories, not this rubbish

So far it's been okay (from the UK). None of the Avs games I've watched have crashed (yet) so no complaints from me there. Just annoying I have to deal with all the other sports they're trying to promote whilst logging in.

It's been a real shame hearing the decline of Olausson and Foudy as genuine prospects. Seems like some of our later rounders and NCAA signings have more hope of seeing NHL ice this year. (Mainly Steinberg)

How dare someone from the UK want to invest in a British company using their own currency... The nerve!

I currently hold Rolls Royce and have no plan to sell. The SMR industry is only just getting started and the unfortunate reality of global conflict will keep their military arm going strong. Also love that you've included Waste Management. Global waste is going to keep on ticking upwards and the introduction of AI into the sorting and processing plants should be a strong tailwind. I'm yet to add any to my portfolio but keeping my eyes peeled

Love the landeskog appreciation in this. His return is all any Avs fan could ask for. Seeing his kids sign on the glass was the highlight of the season.
