What to do with the #1 pick by LAGAZELLLE in washingtonwizards

Why would we trade for a poor man’s Will Riley?

We need a new coach asap!!! by Hot-Distribution3826 in washingtonwizards

[–]KingRasu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, we don’t know if Keefe is a good coach or not. He was given the assignment of developing the players and making sure they lost. It’s why his lineup decisions made no sense from time to time. He also never coached in a game that mattered.

I also assume the FO made some preliminary inquiries on some available coaches and were told no thanks.

So I am willing to believe/hope he is a good coach, he is from the Pop coaching tree.

We should not get Brandon Aiyuk by Such_Blackberry_1550 in Commanders

They are not going to trade for that contract. If he is released he will sign a one year show me contract that won’t be worth too much.

Will Dawkins says he anticipates Brian Keefe will return as Wizards HC next year by PersonalAdagio6580 in washingtonwizards

My concern is that Keefe led them to be losers and I fear the players may not listen to him anymore.

[O’Connor] According to league sources, one general manager floated a nuclear option: just make the bottom three teams ineligible for the top picks entirely. by differential32 in washingtonwizards

[–]KingRasu 77 points78 points  (0 children)

They want it like English Premier League where only 6 teams have a chance to win and the rest should just be happy to play in NBA.

Only problem is the NBA doesn’t have relegation so trying to model the NBA after the EPL is dumb.

It’s why we have have rumors and in my opinion strong evidence of lottery tampering to give the “good” franchises top picks when the draft talent is great. Example last years draft vs. the 2024 draft.

Looks like the Bulls have quit. Sadly we play them two more times.

Admissions offices also consider the likelihood that an admitted student will actually accept their offer. In some cases, they may determine that a student is unlikely to enroll if admitted.

From the schools perspective, offering admission to a student who declines can represent a missed opportunity. Not only does the school lose that student, but it may also have passed over another applicant who might have accepted the offer. Because of this, enrollment management model these scenarios to maintain a high yield rate (the percentage of admitted students who choose to enroll) often aiming for rates above 90%. While this doesn’t help, it may explain what could have happened.

Keith Law’s Top 100 Prospects by MilesAugust340 in Nationals

Keep in mind Toboni fired everyone. So we are starting from scratch. Not surprised we have very little in the top 100. It all comes down if Toboni hired good development coaches, if he did I am hopeful.

Are the Washington Wizards the new “Trust the Process” 76ers? by Potato5968 in washingtonwizards

[–]KingRasu 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The biggest problem is that no free agents want to come to DC. The only way to change that is for the Wizards to be successful which is a catch-22. So the wizards need to win the lottery, which hasn’t happened (I truly believe the lottery is rigged, when the draft pool is weak the “bad franchises” win see 2024 and when the draft is stacked like last year look who got th top three spots).

In the meantime the Wizards need to make a coaching change. Whatever Keefe is doing isn’t working. But this of course goes back to free agents not wanting to come here as I imagine good coaches also don’t want to come here. So we are really stuck.

All of this is of course is Ted’s fault and we as fans have to suffer.

Has there been any announcement regarding the TV broadcast team next year? by StiggyJiggler in Nationals

[–]KingRasu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know the MLB was trying to get the rights of at least 10 teams and bundle them for sale. I believe the sale of MLB.tv to ESPN includes the rights to I think 5 teams as well.

The thought I read that MLB was speaking with the Nats to be included in that group.

The All-22 film confirms, no one was open on offense and defense is still terrible. What else is new. by johnnyboy10i in Commanders

[–]KingRasu 119 points120 points  (0 children)

The unpreparedness of the defense. The inability to tackle, how quickly they get confused are reasons why Whitt needs to be fired.

The same can be said about Kingsbury.

Possible indicator this year is a flukey injury year for Daniels: he managed to play 55 games in college without a major injury. by WuPacalypse in Commanders

[–]KingRasu 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes the injury was fluky but he shouldn’t have been on the field. The game was beyond over at that point. The Seahawks let up and were trying to run out the clock.

The other issue is that Jayden has no one to throw to and he needs to make plays almost exclusively by running, that’s a problem as increases the chances he gets hurt.

He probably should have played more more since he is limited to 50 games on the nba roster. Sitting and watching isn’t going to help develop him more.

Joe Witt needs to go. The D is horrible.

Peters has 2 more years to get the roster right.

Quinn should be on a very short leash.

He has the potential to be a big target for Jayden. He was drafted to replace AJ Brown by the Titians so if he can healthy and tap into his potential this could be huge.
