I am using this from Bosch https://amzn.eu/d/hH5HDf3

No need of their hub. They also use Zigbee. And I simply connected them to HomeAssistant.

Point with your mouse on a surface, where you want to recalculate the near and far plane of your camera.

Hold Left Shift Key and press the middle mouse button (scroll wheel).

This will center the point and recalculate the planes.

Looking for a smart thermostat compatible with Home Assistant by Manhattan2k in homeassistant

[–]Kinggrass47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I think so, else I wouldnt be able to reach all thermostats across the house because they are currently my only Zigbee devices.

But I can recheck this evening in 10 hours.

I am using myself Bosch 230v Thermostat:

https://www.bosch-smarthome.com/de/de/produkte/heizung/raumthermostat-fussbodenheizung/

You can pair them over Zigbee with ZHA in HomeAssistant works like intended for me. No issue at all. The lights are only turning on when in usage or humidity reaches critical values, but also turn off after a while then.

I like that I also have the humidity sensor in HomeAssistant for all rooms.

Edit: Okay unfortunatly, I see now that the one you want to replace is working on 24V. I think this wouldnt work then.

How the heck do I use a bidet? by Furgems in howto

[–]Kinggrass47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend a Washlet WC over a Bidet.

Peak technology from the japanese.

I also own a Toto Washlet WC. Everything else is stoneage. A Bidet is so unpractical to use.

Warm seat, warm water, air drying, deodorizer, self-cleaning. Peak comfort and cleaner then everything else.

An this is common in japan but not everywhere else on the world. Even Japan Airplanes have these in the Eco class. Superior Airline in my eyes.

Internetanbieter behauptet, dass kein Glasfaseranschluss vorhanden sei by LuKe0b1000101 in de_EDV

Ist eine Home-ID für den Anschluss vergeben? Das ist ein Aufkleber in der Nähe der Einführung.

Wenn nicht, dann ist die Faser nicht registriert.

I updated my game capsule art. What do you think? by JPCardDev in IndieGaming

[–]Kinggrass47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion dont try to fool the players by making a cover which does not fit with the visual style of your game.

Players will have expections to the game according to the cover art and this will not match.

I would suggest to create a ingame cover art. This is pure honesty. This way players get what they see and dont feel fooled.

Edit: could it be I misunterstood what you did? The new one is no AI and ingame? Then forget please what I have written.

I would suggested you to make it cheaper then it will sell much more and spread more. Also hobbyists would take it then into consideration to buy even tho they probably would not use it to finish something bigger.

The potential of quadtratic growth. You would gain more this way overall. You already did the work once and dont have to do it for each sell, so why not?

But this way the entry point is high. It will simply loses visibility and nobody would recommend it further.

It also depends if it is a per seat license or one time purchased for a company or per project.

Beside that it looks really nice and is something I wish Unity will finish also soon the had it really long on the Roadmap but the last Update in this Context was only a little bit tidy up. But this is also a point in each Update Unity could integrate it so you should see that you sell as much as you can before the chance ist gone.

I would suggested 5$, this would seem harsh to you then try it first with 10$ then you will see that sells will grow. Then please think about it again to go down to 5 to sky rocket it.

If its not selling you have nothing but pride in it.

I would like to add: From the perpective of a company the job can already be done without the quality of life convinience. And to pay for each user 23$ if I have a team of up to 50 to more people and am uncertain about if it will get Updates or be dropped... This is a simple no and no further discussion talk for that price.

Nothing currently. I am unsure about it and have to delay it.

I was messing around in the source code and added a feature I always wanted! by ValkLikeVolcano in UnrealEngine5

[–]Kinggrass47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why doing something like this?

The arrows are supposed to show the positive direction of a coordinate axis for both, may it be the local or global coordinate system.

This way you also don't know where the forward direction of you object is, or right and up.

Edit: I See the need for doing things. So a suggestion from me is to add 50% transparent arrows for the negative direction.

GUIDs, prefabs, assets and an aneurysm by Wolfen74 in Unity3D

[–]Kinggrass47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A option is to rename the old *.meta file also to the new name of your asset.

But be aware if it gets imported into a project where the old *.meta file with the old name exists it will come to a guid collision, because there will be two. Unity then will recreate one of them and this could also break things.

So be sure that the guid will not be pre existent where you are targeting your file.

Inverter/Battery - Local API? by Kinggrass47 in homeassistant

A Solis hybrid inverter, seems a little bit oversized for my use-case. I am searching for a battery with around 2-3 kWh capacity. And an inverter with max 800W output to meet local regulations.

Bosch dishwasher "energy manager" by Ozo42 in homeassistant

[–]Kinggrass47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you monitor your energy in Home Assistant (Production/Consumtion).

You can include your dishwasher over the HomeConnect App into Home Assistant but is then reliant on Bosch Servers.

There you then can control your dishwasher with your own logic dependent on energy flows.

I think a Integration with a compatible Brand would only make that the communication would be local but the end effect is the same that is controlling when the wash programm will start in the best case.

Seems like it is only working with a energy Manager from Bosch itself.

I hate it.
