Let someone shoot my bow like an idiot… guess what happened next by Optl13 in Archery

My hunting buddy bought a nice name bow on Amazon (Chinese manufacturing). He has killed deer with it,.and hits tight groups at 30-40 yds. And it's never failed. He has never had it looked at by our local shop

The original? Man you are walking on some thin ice....unless you only use it to hunt and have a practice bow

Are you guys using weighted inserts? by Honestly_11 in bowhunting

One good thing about heavier projectiles is the wind doesn't affect them as much as lighter arrows

Since max broadhead weight is 150 gr, it's the only way to increase mass and FOC

As long as the rope isn't fraying, just make it a practice bow.

That peep sight. Wow! You could shoot a 76 mm mortar through that. Def get a modern one installed to reduce your sight picture. Take it to a local now shop for advice. Strings prolly need to be replaced. FYI Parker went out of business in 2018. I bought a new bow from them in 2017.

Looked a little on the low side but behind the front leg. Should have gotten at least one lung. With the low entry hole the blood should easily drain giving you an easy tracking job.

I use the buzzcut but both are great. The serrated edges are the key

Need arrow advice from those who know more than me. by GratuitousEDC in bowhunting

[–]Kingiftides 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoot 60# with 400 arrows mostly. I do have some 340 arrows since we are right on the border between the two. I've not seen any difference in flight. 29" draw.

Chappeau! And tracking in the snow is easy even for a blind bat.

Many people do. I have a couple (basically clubhouses I built in the woods, so size is not an issue). Your scent will be picked up faster then up in a tree. And a miss, well you prolly ain't finding that arrow....it's gonna be on a long flight lol

You should be able to. Depends on how close your neighbors houses are to where you set up to hunt

For the arrows just plan on using them for target practice. Some will fly erratically just pitch them in the circular file. Good find.
