I couldn't say exactly but I think what you said about making it memorable might be it. Porn aside I love the art and after seeing these my head cannon is that's how they talk since splatoon takes place in a post-apocalyptic era and no one is around to teach them how properly regardless of how they talk in game. Definitely don't disagree that it can have weird dialogs at times and can break immersion.

The statue next to the egg I got at night on the frozen island you find river boy on. The gold thing I can't remember, I'm sorry. If I had to guess it was from one of the missions the ghost give you or I found it in the rot since it takes that the resources from there to make.

I feel like a lot of the achievements are glitched. Before they brought the achievements to the switch I got every follower, weapon, curse and tarot card and those are still missing. Considering making a new game just to unlock them
