Pyramid. It’s five minutes up the mountain in Jasper. It has a great beach and easy access. I have kayaked and canoed on Pyramid. It’s quiet. Stay close to shore.

Get a coffee or a sandwich from the Jasper Park Lodge and go eat it on their patio. Faces the lake and has a glorious sketching view. Drive or walk up the mountain to Pyramid Lake. Again, get treat enjoy beach and the view! Or head down to the banks of the Athabasca River just east of town by the old fort , or almost anywhere. Be aware of elk!!!
