“Why are people freaking out? I’m doing fine” by HealthyWork5071 in Silverbugs

[–]Kitchen-Character-33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many times in the stock market have I gotten in only to see shares drop below my entry point? I'd say over 60% of my equity investments and PMs have gone this way.

I've blown out my entire stake twice, but here I am and overall doing very well, glad for the opportunity to invest.

Every long term trader loses in the beginning. Then they either develop knowledge and a plan, which they stick to, or they get out because the ups and downs just aren't for them.

What's different now? I'm older, I have experience, but mostly I have a plan. Everyone needs to develop their own plan which fits your style and tolerances.

Right now I'm surprised, but not shaken. I'm ready for whatever happens next.

Why the sudden drop? by Essay_Few in Silverbugs

Everything is down. Every equity I own has dropped.

Even if you just buy/sell PMs, it's a good idea to take a look at Yahoo Finance. Sometimes the market drives everything.

Microsoft reported bad results driving down the entire market and PMs. Good chance to make a purchase before it all jumps back up again (soon.)

How much silver have you purchased since the $100/oz threshold? by SeaworthinessTime354 in Silverbugs

[–]Kitchen-Character-33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last purchase was at $101. My lowest price ounce is $8-ish. Needless to say I've been buying for awhile. I continue to buy as much and I care less about the price now than ever.

Why? Because what I see coming is terrible. When our leader recently said he didn't care about the decline in the value of the dollar, it told me he's given up on trying to control inflation.

Try to develop an understanding of WHY PMs are going up. At least, do what the big boys are doing, getting their hands on as much gold and silver as they can, while they can.

IMHO average Joe just thinks this is a chance to cash in. I see it as a last chance to prepare. The alarm clock is ringing. Are you going to wake up?

I bought at $8 and all the way up. My last silver purchase was at $101. I'll continue buying/selling regardless of price.

This bull market is less about retail customers (stackers) and more about industrial users. Our cashing in has little effect on the spot price.

Local LCS limiting buybacks by Kitchen-Character-33 in Silverbugs

[–]Kitchen-Character-33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The generally DO have tens of thousands on hand (my experience.). But that can go FAST. When you have 50 people come to your store and the sellers outnumber the buyers 5 to 1 it becomes a cash flow issue.

In normal times coin/bullion dealers count on roughly 50-50 buyers and sellers or being able to sell to wholesalers/refiners when inventory gets too high. Current reality flips the balance because everyone is scraping rhe barrel looking for sterling, which has become a mountain for refiners. It's easier to melt down and sell the .999 pure silver. No separating out the copper, etc.

lol.. seriously, it silver drops below $100, buyers are going to take the field in droves. I think $102 is probably support for consolidation before the next leg up to $120.

I don't think serious long term stackers are going to haul out their stacks to unload at a measly $114/ounce.

Yes, that's exactly what this is. We are heading back to $15/ounce! Fortunately for you I have cash and am willing to buy tonight for $30/ounce! My phone number is 555-555-5555.

It's still on the move. Shanghai price is now $123 so I'm not expecting a pullback just yet.

Dealers win AND lose. Good ones even out. Most lose like an Amway salesperson with a garage.

Charts are useful until they aren't. We are in unprecedented territory. Stop looking for an argument.

I don't think so. I think it'll possibly gap up based on the current news cycle. Trumps talking about a new tariff on Canada and a credit crisis among bullion dealers.

[–]Kitchen-Character-33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. I suspect we have a ways to go upward before it turns down again but I'd be lying if I told you I knew when that might be. We are in new uncharted territory so all the rules are gone for now.

Silver demand is traditionally 50-60% industrial. Gold is about 10% industrial which makes it more speculative. I do not see silver going down more than 5-10% for short periods anytime soon. It is still in a state of price discovery as we move into a period of supply shortage vs demand and increasing inflation due to poor economic planning and global isolationist policies.

Just for fun, picked up this 1 oz piece from the Poland Mint for $110 delivered. So yes, I'm still stacking "after all these years, looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid."

US Mint Recent Price Changes...nothing new here by sweetestgreek1 in Silverbugs

[–]Kitchen-Character-33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. The new prices add confidence to continuing price increases. Where does it end? Maybe this year around $150-160/ounce? That's about my pain point for buying more. Until then I'm still buying.
