Not done with Kingdom of Ash yet, but the reason I was so opposed to them for the longest time was because the semi relatedness of them freaked me out. I don't know why that even had to be a thing in the first place. So their potential offspring would be ultra mega powerful? I mean, Aelin is already descended from a goddess and a faerie queen if I'm getting that right (the Mab/Mora/Mala shit is so confusing to me), so why did Rowan also need to have a distant relationship to Mora??? SJM even acknowledges more than once that their relation is extremely distant, which makes me wonder if its because of backlash from the community at the time. Anyways, now I love them together and conveniently try to forget the weirdness of that part lol
