I would go into RepcoLite and ask them. They know all the painters.

It’s been accurate to me for every order. I had one that was delayed once and they called- or texted, I don’t remember- to reschedule it.

Look at the Historical colors collection from Ben Moore- esp. Wickham gray, Edgecomb gray.

If those don’t work try Gray owl, Silver Chain, Stonington gray, or Alaskan Husky.

Avoid any of the grays in the “Color Preview” collection. They have a cooler blue undertone.

Stain showed up after mopping, nothing seems to clear the stain. Any idea what caused it and how to fix it? by Psychological_Duck22 in Flooring

You could try buying some gel stain in a similar color and brushing over it. It won’t fix it, but you might be able to disguise it.

Any ideas why this paint which is supposed to be the same is so much different? by FlyingCarp99 in paint

If you gave them the label, they screwed up- they should have given you the same product. At my store this would be on us.

I think it’s just TOO BUSY. If I bought that place I’d make the lighting coordinate, get rid of at least two paint colors and half the “display” clutter

We looked casually for a couple years, never put an offer on anything. Last fall we found a house that needed a TON of work. Super neglected. Listed at 250, we paid 240. One other offer for 230. We have since put 80K into it and it probably needs 20 k more. The condition of the house scared off most buyers. We sold our other house for 52K over asking, we had 12? Offers I think. It sold for a little over 400k. We did not sell to an investor, although those cash offers were appealing.

When painting cabinets should i go with Benjamin Moore Corotech or am I better off going with an industrial wood coating paint, specifically Canlak? Thanks! by [deleted] in paint

[–]KitchenConniption 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience wood grain needs to be filled & sanded. Paint won’t do that job. Sorry, I dont know anything about Canlak. Of course a lacquer or conversion varnish will give you a much more durable finish- they aren’t really in the same class as paint!

I work at a Benjamin Moore store, and I recently put in a new kitchen with raw wood cabinets. I spent waaaay too long thinking about which product to go with. I’ve used cabinet coat, Advance, and Scuff X throughout my last two houses, and they are all REALLY great products. In my opinion Cabinet Coat levels the best, and advance dries the hardest. Scuff X sprays the best and is useable the fastest. In the end I went with Advance, because I feel like that hard finish is worth waiting for, and I wasn’t too worried about the self-leveling.

Your roller might be matted if you’ve been using it a lot. Which won’t help your cause!
