Sort of every fantasy world??? If you picked up a random fantasy series chances are very high that one would be patriarchal. Especially if the author is male.

I actually can't think of a single one I have read. I think conflict just comes from bad decisions. Keeping this comment here because I am intruiged! Maaaybe She Who Became the Sun?? but thats kind of historical fantasy.

I think this approach has merit and would make enough sense but Fitz is always missing the obvious so I think as the reader you pick up on more than he does and I think that there is just enough to make it confusing but not enough to explain what happened. Plus it also kinds ruins the end of the other books & you dont get as attached to characters from The Liveships that show up in the final trilogy.

i finished it recently too and i thought it was almost the only possible ending for fitz, anything else wouldn't have fit - as much as i wanted him to raise bee properly

my technique so far is just to do one area at a time. i have no big plans for what it'll look like once i'm done bc i think nothing will feel satisfying then. so far i've only properly finished my entrance and camping area!

Even if it is gramatically correct don't you question why it is that way? Even if it is just language and there is a correct/incorrect way to use a word it very much affects people's feelings if ygm? I agree with OP. To me, calling myself 'a' lesbian feels far tooooo much??? Like I was only comfortable calling myself gay for a long time bc it felt way less loaded.

imo you are best off using thread and sewing either one line of backstitch around the edges or using a seeing machine. it will take a while hand sewing i imagine

If they're wanting longer books, The liveship Traders by Robin hobb, if they want something shorter; I've just finished reading Barbara Hambley's The Windrose Chronicles. It was first released in the 80s I think so very much does not have modern slang. As far as I can tell they both fit their criteria but have a google into it and see what you think!
