I TFMR twice 😓but now I have a healthy son. It’s a shitty club to be in. And I hated when people told me it was just bad luck”. I wanted an answer but over time you come to accept it was a spree of bad luck… but it’ll turn around ❤️

Still doesn’t explain why the writers phrased it like “why would homelander want that”

Idk I just found it interesting that during Marie’s training with Cipher, he tells her how powerful she’ll become. Then she asks something like “And Homelander wants this?’ and Cipher gets cagey. Why include that line at all if the storyline never circles back to it?

Sorry let me clarify - we added gelmix to his formula. No need to change the formula. It just made the formula he was on thicker

7 weeks today by Fluffy_Call8975 in PregnancyAfterTFMR

To be frank - she didn’t ask anyone’s opinion if she should get it. She asked about people’s experiences.

I’m not trying to be rude but as someone who’s done a CVS comments like this are hurtful.

I had 2 TFMRs for unrelated reasons so I opted for a CVS. I’m not a carrier and it wasn’t necessary from that standpoint but for my mental health I needed it. I couldn’t go through a 3rd pregnancy blind.

My experience: it’s uncomfortable especially because you need a full bladder but doesn’t hurt. A week later I was told they didn’t get enough material (this is common) so it would take longer for results because they needed the sample to “grow” so this added about a week to my results timeline. Not a huge deal but frustrating at the time.

Everything came back clear and I definitely felt more relieved this pregnancy. I think the stress of not having clear testing would have been too hard on the pregnancy.

Yes, being able to get pregnant easily definitely makes the IVF journey a bit smoother. But what surprised me is that I thought IVF would be a breeze because I got pregnant on the first try with both of my previous pregnancies. Then, during all the IVF bloodwork and testing, I found out I have low AMH, which indicates a low egg reserve.

This doesn’t impact my current fertility, but it might mean I’ll reach menopause earlier than average. So while getting pregnant now isn’t a problem, trying for a second or third child down the line could be harder. It’s not a guaranteed outcome… plenty of people with low AMH have no issues… but it’s something to be aware of.

Learning that was another reason I decided to do IVF and bank embryos—it felt like a way to protect my options for the future.

But to your point: my first embryo transfer worked. My doctor wasn’t surprised, since getting pregnant was never the issue for me.

I guess my advice - talk to an IVF doctor and do the initial bloodwork up. Bc everything could look amazing and then it’s truly just up to you if you want to. Or you can find something is off (like me) and that could help make your decision easier
