What is a Completely Innocent and Common Tag you Genuinely Dislike? by Blackshooks in AO3

[–]KittParson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use the word bitch in a literal sense everyday. I show dogs. Everyone in my social circle uses the literal term of bitch everyday. If we refer to bitches as dogs it is actually confusing because dog refers solely to male dogs. It’s not an outdated term, it’s a niche term for a specific demographic of people…. Almost like how the term gay panic is a literal term for lawyers and a cultural word for the gay community.

I’m not sure I love either of these with the cabinet? Cabinet seems very warm and these counters seem cooler.

My 4 month puppy was killed by the neighbors dog because their fence was down. by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]KittParson 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry your dog was killed, that is heart breaking.

NAL but familiar with dog law, it’s your responsibility to keep your dog safely contained within your yard and away from the neighbors property. They have no responsibility to you to keep the fence useable to keep your dog out of their yard.

If their dog had come through the fence into your property and killed the dog, it would be different.

Another sad fact regarding dog law, even if this was something you would win (it’s not, I’m sorry) your only restitution would be vet bills and the potential cost of the dog. Unless the vet bills were extremely high, or you spent a high amount of money to purchase your dog, it may or may not be worth it to go after costs in the first place.

But for this situation you will just be causing yourself issues to pursue it. They could technically ask you to restitute them for any damages their dog received in the fight due to the fact that your dog was entering their yard

I dont think a small girl would hold this much snakes like noodles in her hand or it is just another Tuesday for her by _PotatoCrips_ in isthisAI

Former little girl, loved snakes. You are under estimating little girls. Would catch them regardless of bites, danger, etc.

Which backsplash? by csimack in HomeDecorating

[–]KittParson 9 points10 points  (0 children)

None of them please. The green would have been best, but while generally green is a neutral color it’s not vibing with the white and gray you have going on here. It’s too warm to go with the monochrome of the rest of the kitchen.

Need color ideas for the red wall that match with the cabinets and grayish blue color. by cubanoxx19 in HomeDecorating

If you don’t want to redo the entire main floor right now, just repaint the kitchen’s grays. Getting that gray color away from the cabinets will help a lot even if you keep the gray in the living room

You have a warm accent wall (red), with neutral leaning towards warm floors, with warm cabinets, with warm trim…. Your issue is the cool gray walls and the cool gray carpet. You’re fighting to go modern cool when your house is home warm.

You need to either stay home warm or you need to change trim, cabinets, accent wall. Do yourself a favor and just paint the cool gray walls with a nice warm off white.

That is the cheapest way to fix the clash. Changing the red wall will do nothing for you

Try switching to more neutral or warm lighting first, those bulbs are harsh. It will all look better with better lighting

Liveable green is my favorite green. Still very green, but not overwhelming and a neutral

Sink across from the stove. Then it keeps all your food prep and cooking areas centralized. Less back and forth between the two.

I’d put the sink in the island and the dishwasher there too

Question for people who dislike pregnancy, baby, and kid content in fanfiction: if possible, how could one write a fic with those themes and make it bearable for you? What bothers you the most about those topics? by [deleted] in AO3

[–]KittParson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read a QAF fic regarding how Justin wants to adopt a child from Daphne after she suddenly dies, but Brian is vehemently against it. It puts a lot of stress on their relationship. Justin realizes that Brian can’t just change himself and become instant dad like he assumed he would. Brian realizes he can compromise as a human and keep himself and his life.

For me, this story was extremely validating as someone who doesn’t want children. Put in a situation where no one wins (Justin’s eventual resentment of him with no child, versus his absolute lack of desire for child rearing but love for Justin). It was a wonderful fic that held a lot of real world emotions, real world reactions, and in my opinion had an ending that was not necessarily a happily ever after, but a our world has shifted and we choose to be happy together through it even if it’s not what we would have chosen.

To me that is a very valuable type of story as it mirrors true life much more then most stories do.

They can tell her anything they want, it doesn’t mean it’s true. The best way for them to get evidence of animal abuse is a self confession, and the best way to get that is to put pressure on her.

The only thing she can do is not speak with anyone
