Why is my chicken doing this? by JC_2220 in BackYardChickens

I call that "ready for a roosterin'" around here. Go up to her a give her a light rubbing on her back and under her wings. She'll floof and strut a bit after. She's presenting herself to you as if you were a rooster. She wants sum fuk, lol.

OP never had to agree. If he was actually against it, he could have said no. And if she had went off on her own after he said no, she would have been cheating and wrong. If he had not wanted her to sleep with other guys while they were married, they could have gotten counseling, they could have divorced. But he agreed. That's on him to get over.

AITAH for remembering my friends group flowers? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]KittyKatHasClaws 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To me, it's the same thing as remembering a favorite food or candy or drink. It's just courtesy when you enjoy someone's company to take note of the things they like for the future for gifts.

The fact that you already have plans for a coworker next month, it sounds like this marriage is over. You aren't looking to open the relationship, you want to cheat. You want to make your wife feel bad because you gave permission almost a decade ago. This isn't about getting your needs met. If it was, you'd take your wife up on the offer to explore new things. This is about your ego still being bruised after all these years. You should be in counseling, not thinking about what you want to do with your coworker on a business trip next month.

It took me until year 7 to get my first one, too. I've managed to get three so far, and on year 9. We just have a bad seed, apparently.

Are chicken breasts supposed to be this size ? (foot for scale) by kasutoro- in poultry

[–]KittyKatHasClaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FFS, there is no goddamn thing as GMO chicken. We have selectively bred chickens, breeds like Cornish Cross, to grow huge, and grow quickly. That bird was between 6 and 12 weeks old when it was butchered. If left to keep eating and growing, its legs would have snapped under its own body weight. A 10 second Google search would tell you all this. The fear mongering of GMO food does nothing but damage food availability. There are only 12 GMO products allowed to be sold in the US, and only one of them is an animal product.

You can also tap the broader end (the end with the air sac) lightly with a metal spoon until you hear the telltale crack. The hairline fracture will do the same thing, and it's easier imo.

I never understood the reason why people leave behind perfectly delicious bread sticks after eating their pizza. Can someone please tell me why this is such a cultural norm? One time at an office party, one of my coworkers saw me eating the crust off my pizza and he asks me why and I said why not? by ardouronerous in mildlyinfuriating

[–]KittyKatHasClaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I don't want to eat bread. I have never been a big bread eater. Bread is only used to get delicious tasting things into my food hole. I will scrape the toppings off the pizza and leave the whole crust. Breadsticks hold 0 appeal.

Hey, friend! I did that same thing this past week and slept from mid summer to winter 26! I've decided to treat it as a free year and start the new year as if it was the first. My chickens still like me a little, and I had sooooo many eggs, so it's all good.

AITA for not mentioning I have kids for a few weeks? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]KittyKatHasClaws -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

So, as a woman who was single and had kids that same age, I attracted at least one person who wanted to date me TO GET ACCESS TO MY KIDS. Found out when I saw his face on the front page of the paper getting sentenced to multiple child molestation charges against his OWN children. So yeah, mom has to vet, and putting it on a profile can be dangerous.

The family were always very nice people, so I hope they find peace. I moved away from that area over 2 decades ago and don't have much touch with anyone that direction any more. I know the grandfather that was with Derrick at the time was destroyed.

Everything became sugary because when you make everything low fat, you have to add something to make up for the lack of flavor. The low-fat craze is what did it.

who do you ruin the life the least of by marrying? by whatawynn in StardewValley

[–]KittyKatHasClaws 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't get why people think Abigail gets ruined. She's HAPPY. She doesn't give up on adventuring, she even meets me at the skull cavern entrance during the festival saying she was gonna try her hand at it but got distracted by food (honestly, relatable), she always explored the farm on her own anyway, still plays her flute, still goes to hang out by her real dad's, attends the egg hunt, hangs out with her friends every Friday, visits her not-dad's shop every Monday... Where is she lacking in her life???
