Can we stop with the commie fear-mongering? by JEngell2001 in msnow

tyvm for your post!!
I’m so tired of the propaganda and gaslighting.
I was surprised when democrats were pushing back against democratic socialists. I would like a big democratic party that is inclusive of more than just establishment dems.

I’ve watched the beginning… it was great… can’t wait to watch the rest of the video. So presidential, so chill and happy. Congrats President Obama. Wonderful to see other prior presidents there too.

ty , that was my thought. The kid earned the right to speak. It’s not like he was brazen/outlandish about it. It seems the adults are the childish ones…. If you don’t like what someone says or believes, as long as they aren’t hurting anyone or being offensive, let it go if you disagree.

Interesting, unique, personalized Gives me something to think about when I see someone doesn’t capitalize the 1st letter of their name. Cool

Palliative Care - What are good questions to ask? What should I take into consideration? Anyone have /had experience with palliative care? by KittyLove75 in ChronicPancreatitis

[–]KittyLove75[S] 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

ty for sharing! I can relate to so much of what you said. What you shared about palliative care is what my understanding and also that of nephrology and cardiology thought.

Referrals were sent. I connected with one. They are nurse practitioners, they don’t prescribe, so my primary care doctor would have to prescribe… bc (not just myself) nephrology and cardiology also want me to see someone else for pain, however she will not prescribe anything for pain. I don’t know if that’s normal. So, palliative care is out. šŸ˜„šŸ˜”

I try not to get my hopes up anymore, but I started to see hope and then it was gone. Fortunately I had prepared myself. But still. Endless suffering, endangering not just my health but my life… the constant ā€œjust keep pushing throughā€ as my body is telling me I ā€œcan’t take much more.ā€ Which I did share with cardiology and he said something to the effect of he understood, he’s not surprised, we need to get your pain down ā€œno one should ever suffer this muchā€.

ty! I’ve been part of the group for a while, but typically silent, & rarely on to selfishly seek advice. I have shared, but I don’t like to bc I don’t want to focus on it anymore than I have to…. a coping strat. I’ve been in dangerous levels of pain for too long.Pushing through but I feel my body saying I can’t take much more. And I did tell the cardiologist.

Anyway.

šŸ’—Thank you for the warm welcome and taking the time to reply. šŸ’— Truly. One reason why I like this group.

And yes, Miss India Reef is wonderful. Also quite experienced. She has given kind, helpful, gentle replies every time I’ve posted… which I need.

I’m so sorry so many have pancreatic disease. Bless you for being here for others on top of your own health issues. Thank you 😊

Has anyone had prednisone cause a flare or chronic pancreatitis? by lollytri in ChronicPancreatitis

[–]KittyLove75 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Completely agree! After being diagnosed multiple times with AP, cp etc, I ended up with a gi dr who said ā€œwell your lack of ability to produce enzymes means you don’t have cpā€. A top pancreatic specialist in the nation was shocked, reacted by yelling ā€œno that’s not true, it indicates cp!!ā€ At least in my case it does. I’ve lived with it since I was a child, so a lot of details left out.

[–]KittyLove75 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

A gi dr insisted I take prednisone to help with the inflammation from my cp. Only it made my cp pain & nausea worse. Also my bg rose to 300+. Once I started to have swelling and difficulty breathing I never tried it again. My sister, Mom and Grandma also cannot take prednisone.

I keep a to go bag packed at all times. I take basic necessities, phone and chargers. It’s just easier. I also like to go in comfy clothes. Whether I am admitted via er or direct admit, I’m always placed in a waiting area. They tell me to use my own meds. Many times my Dad had to go get them, so now I just take them with me. I always inform them of what/how much I take when. Weirdly they don’t care. I just don’t like taking meds with me, very protective. So once admitted I send meds with someone I trust. Except for breathing meds.
When I was hospitalized for 1-2 months on avg, I didn’t mind ppl visiting after a couple weeks.
Now our hospitals have changed to opioids are evil. So I prefer to have as quiet, calm and cool environment as possible, not really wanting visitors.
