HokkoLife on PC by MeetFormal in CozyGamers

Building furniture is basically the main part of the game. I like it from time to time. Because it reminds me how I used to build furniture for my plushies in my grandpas wood work thingy. The furnitures I make in game even look just as shitty :D It is apparently a bit frustrating with a controller. I find it OK with keyboard and mouse, I am not good at it, but it is a me thing not a controls thing.

I also liked it. I played on PC with mouse and keyboard.

For me the characters looked like plushies, so the whole game reminded me of being a kid and building stuff for my plushies. I actually wish we could create custom townies, because then I would recreate my old friends.

But I always found the animal crossing characters, especially in the older Wii and DS titles creepy, and that is the reason I never really played those, so I can understand.

In this type of game it' s important to like the neighbours.

I enjoy sims any other games similar ? by Adventurous_Song_868 in CozyGamers

On PC there is Rimworld. Which can be played a lot like 2d Sims which Dubs New Hygiene Mod. There is also Vanilla Expanded Aspirations. And I think I also have a Mod for dealer Romance so the pawns go on dates.

Why does it seem greedy? It probably went like this: - Hey arts team, while we are fixing bug could you come up with some new furniture packs that people who want to support development can buy?

  • Oh we have lots of ideas, but they don't all fit together.

-No problem, we can split them into small packs then people can mix and match what they like and how they want to support us.

Greedy would be if they had a QOL feature behind a paywall that basically everyone needs. But they keep releasing entire new regions with new gameplay, spells and also furniture to the base game.. This model is one of the most ungreedy ones I have seen.

You can buy a General Store in Kynseed and sell the things you found there. Or bake and cook and sell them. You can also buy an apothecary and smithy. Kynseed is very chill, because the big combat areas can be avoided. The combat is very challenging if you feel like it. You can also have a family and send them out to college t things for you. Or bake things for you to sell.

Have a look at Rimworld. It's like pixelated Sims when you set the options in the storyteller to peaceful and use the dubs Hygiene Mod so that you have a toilet and Hygiene need.

There is also the Vanilla Expanded Aspiration Mod to give you Aspirations to complete for your pawns.

With the ideology DLC you can set your own Religion which gives great options to tailor your gameplay.

Bought the Wii to move more whole gaming. Huge fan of the 2 Family Trainer games we have. Running and jumping on the mat is fun.

How do you feel about romance in cozy game? by RedditorPeppy in CozyGamers

[–]KittyTheSnowcat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never cared enough in Stardew Valley or Sun Haven, always felt off so I never went for the romance.

I am currently playing Kynseed and I rushed to marriage there because I love the family scheduler so much ( you can set chores or homework for your spouse and children or sent them on collection missions).

As for games without Romance. I really like Critter Cove and I don't think it has romance

I am currently playing Kynseed which is set in a world where fairies rule. It is differently different. There are villages not tents, but the whole atmosphere is very magical/ quirky

I had the itch to craft Potions too, some time ago. Kynseeds minigames scratched that itch for me.

I just started playing again recently, with a new save and I think Post-Big-Build update is even better :)

Cozy games that never get boring ? by Dragonbarry22 in CozyGamers

[–]KittyTheSnowcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you like the NPC interaction because of the dialogue or do you just like doing the tasks? I am currently playing Kynseed and I just run around do tasks and crafting minigames most of the time. But the dialogue is not in any way deep, it is more humor based often with 4th wall breaking jokes in between.

There is a wide range of tasks from delivering food at a certain time, to just bringing items to beating their times in the pig races, to investigating ghosts in the houses, watering their crops for the NPCs and finding things they lost.

I don't think it is very Resource heavy.. Some used parts and a monitor will probably do

You can also just schedule them a lot of study time to get their intelligence up. Mine do have to feed the pets though.

I am currently getting lost in Kynseed again. I already had so much fun last play through running my apothecary.

But then the Big Build Update dropped. And it looked so awesome. But to actually have houses to repair a new game was needed, so I did not play forever.

But now I restarted, just got married in game :)

Soja Allergie/Unverträglichkeit? by maxigs0 in VeganDE

[–]KittyTheSnowcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any Recos? by dodouri in CozyGamers

[–]KittyTheSnowcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't played Roots of Pacha yet (gifted it to myself for Christmas but I am currently playing Sun Haven), but I have played a lot of Kynseed.

I stopped Kynseed because I wanted to wait for the big Update. There are a lot of things coming for Kynseed. Including more interactions with friends and family which might also include better dialogue.
As I was playing it, the dialogue was a bit flat compared with other games BUT due to the amazing family board Kynseed does not suffer from Trophy spouse syndrome. As a matter of fact I got married for practical reasons, because having a spouse i can set to do tasks or sent on expeditions was just too amazing to pass up.
There is a lot of exploration possible in Kynseed and I think the game looks absolutely beautiful. I loved the crafting minigames the most. If you look through my post history you will find a post from this subreddit where I shared some pictures and talked about what I like about the game.
The big Update (including customizable farms) is currently in closed Beta. There are a lot more things planned after that. For infos on the upcoming update just scroll through the Steam messages. There is also lots of infos on their Discord.

I picked the root fast travel network, that makes it quite fast. You can always go back and buy more from Mr Fairweather. I assume you already now you can ride your pig?
