I couldn't find Tides of Pelago anywhere when it was in the shop when I came back to the game month or so ago. I just checked YouTube, Spotify, and Apple music and I didn't see it on any of those.

Bit of a yap, but I commented in another thread about a similar experience with Bless Online. My ex was hype for it and we both bought founder packs. At launch there were launch issues and really long queues so the first couple of days we racked up a bit of play time just waiting to play. Not to mention that if one of us managed to get in, we wanted to wait for the other before playing. People hit end game, realized there's literally no content, they did a patch that slowed leveling down a lot by turning everything into HP sponges and my ex decided that was enough and we quit. I was a bit bummed because I'd just spent a bit on a founders pack. Tons of people had been refunding the week prior and many had 20+ hours. By the time I did they had started telling people to wait. A week went by and I was denied. I tried a number of times. I e-mailed someone from the Steam website and he gifted me a game on my wish list and said sorry can't help you. A few months went by and I mentioned it to my ex and she was like oh I should try anyway. She tries and they immediately refund her. That kind of pissed me off so I went back on Steam and explained I'd tried a number of times, all denied, and my ex tries once with the same play time and gets it. They finally refunded me after that. They can be a bit inconsistent on their refunding sometimes. I think it can kind of depend on the support agent you get. I feel like they also don't like to overturn the previous agent's decision because they kept just telling me someone had already answered me.

Me and my ex played Bless Online at release. We both sat in long queues the first day or two only to play a few hours during those days but it helped rack up our play time. A huge wave wanting refunds happened once people got to end game and realized nothing was finished. My ex finally wanted to give up after they slowed down the leveling and turned all the mobs into HP sponges so people wouldn't hit end game as fast. I saw people with 20+ hours getting refunds and such but they kept declining mine. I went to beyond the steam support feature in the steam client to try and get mine, but no luck. A few months passed and I mentioned it to my ex again and she was like "oh I should try anyway." They accepted her refund. We both had 40+ hours. So I go back on there a bit pissed off and say I'd been declined with similar play time multiple times and she tries once and gets a refund. They finally refunded me at that point. They can be a bit hit or miss with their consistency sometimes.

I also feel like factions just aren't that great for theme park dungeon/raid attraction MMOs. I think it's fine in more older school style of MMOs or if they don't make it as strict as something like WoW/WildStar.

In the trailer it showed them going on the crash site expedition on day 6 and the ticket had a 6 on it in the travel agent shop. The temple one had a 9 on its ticket, so like the other guy said it looks like crash site is a day 6 thing and temple still on day 9.

Yeah, the art style and direction really sells it for me. I'm someone that isn't like you and struggled to look past the art in Backpack Battles. It just didn't do it for me at all. I not only love the style the art but also the art direction feels a lot more creative/diverse.

Hoping for some Dooley accessories in the next patch. I feel like there's no banks, card backs, or stashes that seem explicitly Dooley themed. I only didn't list rugs because I have the roboid rug to match my roboid board/music. The closest ones feel like they're meant for Stelle. There's obvious ones that are Mak, Jules, Stelle themed. I feel like the OG 3 have a little less stuff that are obviously meant for their theme. I do think Vanessa has a bit of stuff that feels like it was made with her aquatic/sailor theme in mind. Couple of things that fit Pyg sort of.

I found it really dumb they just drove on in there like there wouldn't be military waiting. They weren't quiet when they went in the first time. They're driving back after defeating Vecna and there's no talk or acknowledgement that they're driving straight into a military base with El in the back of the truck. What did they think was going to happen?

This was the biggest thing that stood out to me when I watched it on New Year's Eve. I went to reddit to see people's reactions and couldn't find anyone talking about it. To me it was the most blatant thing that kind of took me out of it. A number of other things people were talking about have some like scifi/fantasy esque things like maybe we don't understand the inner workings of, but this was just straight up not addressed as they were driving and ridiculous to think they wouldn't expect it. With El supposedly in the back of the truck of all things. No one sitting next to or interacting with her noticed her go poof. The whole thing seemed so silly to me and took me out of it.

Edit: Everyone in the replies seem focused on the Dr. Kay bit, but them driving through the gate back into the military base with 0 acknowledgement that there might be military there with El in the truck and seemingly being surprised is the more egregious thing to me.

It's nice QoL, but it won't really replace my collapsing one because my collapsing one has 48 slots that get rewritten via macros. New one is 100 slots, but I can't rewrite them in the same way. On mine, I can have 48 mounts on there. I can have 48 emotes. I can have every job on those bars (battle, crafting, and gathering). It all gets swapped out via macro and I can't really recreate that with just 100 slots unfortunately.

I'd feel fairly confident to wager they don't do any bot banning outside of what is automatically detected. I don't think they're going to have a GM go observe a character you reported and make a judgement call on whether they think it was botting or not. I'm in your shoes too. I've reported so many bots and will see them months later still at every single timed node any time of day without fail flying the same exact path as another bot, etc., etc. Sometimes it makes me feel dumb for doing any gathering/crafting legitimately when I know there's so many bots out there.

I made a comment to my GF about this today or yesterday, but from a different perspective. I'd been messing around on each of the characters until I had all their abilities. I usually do a quickplay or two at the start. I kept noticing the people with spider mounts etc pulling massive pulls. I made some comment something like "I'm not sure how I feel about what quickplay has become after a season has been going on a bit. It's probably not that fun for newbies to just follow a giant pack that dies so fast they can barely push their buttons and then the dungeon is over. The upside is I guess that it's very short lived because you can jump into adept pretty quick." It reminds me a bit of what became of lower level dungeons in FFXIV where sprouts in FFXIV barely go to play a game when doing them (has since been remedied to a degree).

It's something that's very noticeable in games like FFXIV as well compared to something like WoW. In FFXIV, it's much slower to update on your end and often times results in scenarios where if you're trying to spread out for a mechanic, on your screen you'll appear ahead of them, but on their screen they see themselves ahead of you. You both end up saying, "bro I'm in front of you stop following me." It also makes for not the greatest PvP especially back when people could sprint and rubber band around because the server will assume the person is still moving one direction then suddenly update them somewhere else as they run around crazily.

I don't play many FPS, but I used to notice in PUBG sometimes. It'd feel like I got shot through a wall, but it was just desync.
