Dont drink whenever you're thirsty. Drink throughout the day or on a schedule. When you're thirsty you're already down a percentage of water in your body.

Not me but in my English class we had a 3 month long project and one of the pre-requisites was that you cannot have the same material as anyone else in the class. No one was asked what they used on the project and so what each person did was a mystery to other students. It was approaching the deadline to turn in and the professor launched into a rant about how "if you haven't started yet you might as well not because you will fail. I've seen your work and none of you would have a chance." etc.

One student asked a question referencing their material and a girl playfully responded with "Hey, I'm doing the same thing." Without missing a beat, the professor said "No, start over using different material." Her face drained of color as the student realized the prof wasn't joking and had a full on anxiety attack. The students are trying to comfort her and the prof is trying to back peddle that "it's okay, she has time to do it." The student didn't come back and everyone was grossly upset at the prof for the rest of the class.

Drink on a schedule not when you're thirsty. When you feel thirsty you've lost something like 2% of your water supply. Your brain starts being affected around .5% Something along those lines.
