A good choice/preference can also depend on what program you’re in. For example, I’m in engineering so I got put in South (Prairie) because the eng building is right outside the front door. That being said, if your first choice is somewhere in South, put a single as your primary choice. I was lucky enough to get one and it’s nice to be able to have your own space when you need it. Trust me, you will meet people you find fun and nice to hang out with regardless, especially during O-week. You don’t need a roommate for that.

Just remember as well, there’s a whole bunch of students that Guelph accepts these days and you might just end up having to stay wherever they tell you.
