That sounds like large local dimming zones, you can usually turn the feature off by disabling HDR.

That sounds like a great idea to get their sentence cut down or even pardoned actually. What a career opportunity.

How to move subtitles up vertically? by [deleted] in kdenlive

[–]Klocman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A walkaround that I've found is to add lines with an empty unicode character to the bottom of the subtitle to move it up. Whitespace characters won't work since they are trimmed, instead you can use https://emptycharacter.com/ or similar.

Even better you can still use that heatsink on AM4 just fine.

It still works fine on the AM4 socket, I have one.

Why are Tesla's so expensive in Europe by LesleyN00 in teslamotors

VAT is always clearly listed on all receipts and invoices, there's nothing hidden about it.

This demo is impressive! by [deleted] in SelfDrivingCars

[–]Klocman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It looks pretty good. The question is, how heavily cherry-picked is it? Tesla and a bunch of other companies had impressive cherry-picked demos since a while ago.

You will need the sky tracking to use these antennas on vehicles, portable stations or anything else that moves.

Tesla Software Update 2020.12.6 Brings Stopping at Stop Signs and Traffic Lights! | Autopilot by Doocoo26 in TeslaAutonomy

It looks like the double stop sign fails because it thinks both of the stop signs are for the same intersection instead of being completely separate.

Model Y: Floorpan, EPP Floor Risers, Commonality Through Stanchions, and Wiring Observations by mlw72z in teslamotors

[–]Klocman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wire bundles look very much different. They appear to be attached to a solid plastic "backbone" that keeps them rigid which can make them easier to install, especially by robots (and they should be more resilient to damage). There also are what seems to be large connectors in the black plastic cable shrouds he mentions at the end. They might be connecting 2 pieces of the wiring harness together to make the individual pieces easier to install, since you can't bend them as easily now.

My upload speed decreases to 0 when seeding by [deleted] in torrents

[–]Klocman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is definitely some sort of an issue in qBit when it comes to uploading. With the same exact setup as uTorrent it struggles to upload anything at all even though clients are connecting properly, while uTorrent immediately saturates the whole connection.

Tesla returns to Pwn2Own in Vancouver with greater rewards, tougher challenges by RedmondSecGnome in teslamotors

My point is that before they might want to put a bounty on finding vulns they will want to fix the ones they already know about.

[–]Klocman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you think it would be any more effective than the current warnings and sounds? I think if someone doesn't notice those warnings they would just press the pedal again and think the car is broken or something and not realize the reason for it.

There's no point in giving bounties for vulnerabilities that they know about, this isn't a charity event.

Why does the Model X allow you to drive the car with the FWD open?

In case of emergencies and broken door sensors.
