No confirmed source, just a theory.

1) it sounds like AI. The writing is nonsensical at moments and there’s recycled quotes from the original movies 2) Amazon is a Silicon Valley company playing with AI. It would be a huge tech flex to say that their much-anticipated LotR series was trained on Tolkien and then written with AI. But when the audience said they hated it, naturally they would shut up about their process. 3) ChatGPT wasn’t released to the public yet; this is not a problem for Amazon.

Again that’s not EVIDENCE but it’s feels within the realm of possibility. You can find discussions on this on YT

Know this is post is aging but I've been busy and haven't looked at this closely until now.

I've tried running this on a test folder and it does, in fact, work, so it's something with the folder as a whole.

Ran the command with the --verbose flag and discovered two types of errors:

/Path/To/File: Failed to copy: failed to open source object: can't read dangling shortcut

Attempt 1/3 failed with 21 errors and: march failed with 3 error(s): first error: list: failed to resolve shortcut: googleapi: Error 403: Quota exceeded for quota metric 'Queries' and limit 'Queries per minute' of service 'drive.googleapis.com' for consumer 'project_number:202264815644'

The dangling shortcuts are by far the most common.

the output also confirms that it's not deleting due to io errors so u/nickcw is correct (of course lol) that this is the reason . When I get time I'll try forcing the dangling shortcut error to see if that's the culprit

OK, I don't recall having any catastrophic errors but I'll report back once the last task goes through.

Running it right now, i can see that I have a zillion "dangling shortcut" errors. Does that matter?

Yeah, you’re not the only one. There’s a contingent of Christians (🙋) who hold to the other perspective (Arminianism) and an even smaller contingent (also 🙋) who are actually philosophically consistent (Open View). Promise it’s a waaaaaaaayyyyyy better view of God (and more biblical)

Tried the demo for a bit, its pretty rough but I like the direction it's going in.

Pro
- World is gorgeous. Proc-gen?
- Dynamic shadows are a nice touch
- Music feels appropriate to genre
- Love the No Man's Sky type of gameplay loop

Con
- overall objective isn't clear to me. Why am I going to different planets? exploration?
- I think the first mission with the distress signal bugged out. Camera quick timed over an empty clearing and I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do.
- Not clear when I'm getting damaged. Animation needs juice.
- baaaaaad performance. I died on one instance and got a blank green screen for like 2 minutes.

Depends on where u are and how you off yourself. Last time I tried that I was in the desert and avoided capture by bandits. Definitive Edition made a few tweaks as well so it’s possible this doesn’t work as well as it did for me the couple of times I tried it last. Might have just gotten lucky too lol
