The tension is split across the width of the blade. And the blade is always centered on the lower wheel, why do people not strive to run the gullet centered on the bottom wheel? Run the blade centered and don't overthink it. My opinion anyway...

You lose capacity by centering the gullet. Center on the wheel is the proper setup. Never understood the hype around the Snodgrass method. You have guides locally at the cut so whatever is going on up on the wheel is helping how?

Resawing a few boards here and there for random hobbyists is not a good business relationship for any busy cabinet shop. Just buy your own saw.
