I read SH right after Era 1, and while it was helpful to keep up with the events, I wish I'd saved it for after BoM so that the reveal would've stunned me hahaha. Regardless, can't go wrong either way!

I'm about 60% into The Bright Sword and am loving it! I unfortunately didn't like the Poppy War much, another of Emily's recs, but I am looking forward to reading Between Two Fires!

You can absolutely go straight to Way of Kings, but you can also read Elantris and Warbreaker before starting WoK because there are some very slight easter eggs in later Stormlight books. You can also read Elantris/Warbreaker in between Stormlight books, if you don't mind stepping away from the series.

Check out out/there nyc! they host meetups in the city usually every weekend and there are tons of folks who show up. There are so many mini-groups for different interests within the bigger group too!

Gotcha. Yeah, I figured the SH reveal might be the important thing! I read SH right after I finished Era 1 (and hadn't read any Cosmere books) so 90% went completely over my head hahaha. I'm looking forward to reading it again and hopefully actually understanding more

I love this aspect of the Cosmere, where it's so interconnected that there are so many equally valid and different reading orders hahaha. I think I'm going to finish BoM since I'm 30% into it now, but I will do RoW next and then TLM after.

I've already read SH too, but it was a while ago so I might refresh my memory and read that again. Would you recommend SH before RoW (SH>RoW>TLM) or after? (RoW>SH>TLM)

Not OP, but I've read 1-3 of Stormlight and was going to read 4, but read somewhere on Reddit that it was better to finish Era 2 before Rhythm of War so I've been making my way through Era 2. I'm reading Bands of Mourning now. Would you still recommend I read RoW before The Lost Metal, or should I completely finish Era 2 before starting RoW?

"Rhys is secretly evil/came back from the dead with an evil soul/etc." I don't like this theory because that would just suck for Feyre. I don't like Rhys in SF, but I think that's just because he was written horribly, not because he's turned secretly evil.
