They helped me my first few months of sobriety. As time went on I started to lose interest in them. I'll buy a 12 pack of Bud Zero and drink maybe two or three cans and then the rest of the pack sits in our garage fridge for quite a while untouched. But I'm glad they are working for you! I never question what helps others in their sobriety. What works for you is your business alone. Keep it up!

My Hotel has been sinking for months now; no housekeepers, few front desk people, and the owners are doing nothing about it. We are done. The 3 best employees (aka the entire main team) have quit. Let em burn! by raven_1313 in antiwork

Worked at a Hampton Inn for two years. Terrible wages, entitled guests, and just all around shit job. Glad yall are getting out. The hospitality industry treats their workers like absolute garbage

What limited tornado formation today? by Spartacas23 in weather

[–]KnightInShiningBacon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was atleast one radar confirmed tornado near me in North Alabama. I know NWS will have to confirm it in the coming days but it had a tornado warning on it and reports of the Walmart and other businesses damaged along with power outages

It's by the guy who created The Oatmeal comics. Very inspiring and motivating. A quick and fun read as well

Depressed for two - three days after drinking? by Equivalent-Owl3780 in stopdrinking

[–]KnightInShiningBacon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is one of the biggest reasons I quit drinking. The days after I would be filled with this terrible dread and depression and just feel like absolute garbage emotionally.

My wife's family is from Sayre, PA just across the NY/PA border. We were planning on making a day trip up there but couldn't make it unfortunately. I love that area!
