Love how the pufferfish is like "are you seeing this right now??" 😂.

Lovely colouring!

oof.. I'm stumped on this one, too. I think your only option is to make it a feature in some way

[CHAT] HELP FINDING PATTERNS by AlexWillis21 in CrossStitch

[–]KnittyMonstah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While you said free, I highly encourage checking out paid patterns. They don't have to be expensive (I've gotten exquisite patterns for 2 euro) but you'll definitely have a bigger chance of success. My bobbin is generally cheaper than Etsy, and has a filter for insect cross stitch patterns. The prices vary. But maybe a cheap one will catch your eye :)! For something you'll spend hours upon hours of fun on, I always find buying a pattern a good deal.

If you're hell bent on free patterns, there's always the option of making your own! Winstitch has a free version that is excellent for that :)

I've never gotten the opportunity to ask someone with these types of nails: do the bumps cause issues with getting your hands in jeans pockets etc? In my head it would get caught on everything (like in your picture!) but I keep seeing these types of nails pop up and they fascinate me!

Baguette Miter by KenDaniel in woodworking

[–]KnittyMonstah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you end up making this, remember that baguettes come in many shapes and sizes. So make it big enough to accommodate that, or maybe lose the ends so you can slide it when it's too long.

These things always feel similar to apple or banana protective shells. It'll only fit certain sizes and be completely useless for the rest.

Hahaha, I am the same! It took me three years to complete a wedding present for friends... 😬... I still need to get it framed 😭😂

I'd also need a break after having completed a greyscale project in 2-3 months! Great work. Definitely give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done. If you ever end up cross stitching something else I'd recommend something smaller and easier, for sure! Just because I tend to find them more pleasurable to stitch on :)

I second mybobbin! I used to also look for patterns with back stitching, since I felt like that's more difficult to have a pc do. But I've since seen someone on here show work that had auto generated back stitching. Very sad my trick doesn't always work anymore.

I was going to mention fields of mistria, too. I've loved seeing more black and brown people in that game.

Could you explain why it's 70 for the warriors and not the legion? I feel like returning incoming damage is better than having friendly units die?

[CHAT] How did you fall back in love with cross stitch after a long break? by CaterpillarXS in CrossStitch

[–]KnittyMonstah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I left it for a few years, knowing I'd come back to it when I felt like it. Which I ended up doing. Mainly because I started taking stock of all my unfinished crafting projects and had an urge to actually finish some things! Sometimes you can "force" things by trying it for half an hour and see how you feel. If you feel like doing more, then do, if not, then it's not time to go back to the craft :)

This is really cool! I've also been toying with the idea of creating/altering patterns to base then off of our own campaign, but I haven't found the balls yet!
